Fraud emails going around asking you to re-enter your CC information to keep your EQ account active.. They even made a website that looks exactly like SoE's.

Always hover your mouse over links if you see an ip address instead of an official address thats the first sign that its a fake!

Anyhow - its best to always go to the official site itself and/or check your account through the game

FRAUD ALERT
We regret to inform you that your EQ subscription is about to be de-activated because the credit card number that you provided upon registration for this account is invalid. In order to maintain or re-activate your subscription, you will need to launch EQ and click on the My Account or Edit Subscription button located on the LaunchPad. When prompted, please enter a valid credit card number, SOE Game Card code* or other accepted method of payment. * Sony Online Entertainment Game Cards cannot be used as payment for Station Access or Station Pass. Please note that you will be unable to log into any game or official forum until your subscription is activated with a valid method of payment. Thank you, Sony Online Entertainment If someone can forward me one of those emails I am sure I can get it to the right people to have those sites shut down.

These people are pure scum. I've received at least 6 different spam/scam "phish" emails, some supposedly from banks I'm not even a member of, and one from PayPal.

Always look at the link before you click it. If you really want to be safe, go to the site manually by typing the address in, or using a bookmark you made yourself.

Also, kind of humorous, if you highlight the blank space of the email, especially near the bottom, some of them have a lot of garbage keywords in them.. probably to defeat anti-filtering measures.
