Well, Just getting around to posting here even though I quit playing months ago.

I got tired of the Uber vs Casual rift getting bigger. After 6 years of playing and everyone telling me that I should be able to solo named in all of the expansions and heal for trial but at the same time knowing that with my pre planar gear it was impossible, I gave up the crusade. I when through all the pain of having to rebuild my computer release day to finally get connected, through the dot nerf, the root fix and all the druid bashing for years and finally couldn't keep faith that SoE would actually do anything to balance or upgrade druids to current content.

Since SoV came out, I have been playing the Druid v Verant/Sony game and they finally won.

On the good side are all the people I met and the friends I had made. Thanks for the good times, the debates and the knowledge.

May Tunare bless your paths with the corpses of your enemies.

Kulothar Tunarean,
Ex-Guildleader of Knights of Equity and DragonMaw guilds, Raidleader for CHG and RBL raiding associations and member of the Druid's Grove.

Good luck to you, Kulothar. I've enjoyed reading your posts and discussing druid stuff with you on these boards.

I got tired of the Uber vs Casual rift getting bigger.
PoP nearly ruined the game for me. All due to that statement. The rift between casual and uber got wider and wider so fast that my head was spinning. If you didn't raid 5 nights a week for 5 hours a day, getting this flag or jump thru this hoop or belong to that uber raiding guild, you got left in the dust.

Well, in the last few months things have turnined around. Now that they've allowed "raid-ins for PoP and GoD zones, a casual player like myself was able to get PoF access in an afternoon, Time flagged in about 3 hours and I get raided into Qvic. I now have access to nearly all the same gear and experience upgrades as they do.

I know it sucks, for those who put in hundreds of hours to gain access to those zones, to see a bunch of hacks like me just waltzing in and getting it in a matter of hours, but in my opinion, SOE screwed up bigtime by changing a game that used to be open and accessable, completly linear with PoP and GoD. It turned an open world like Norrath into a visually stunning Mario Brothers; Complete zone A to get to zone B, enter zone B only long enough to get access to zone C, then never hunt in zone B again. Each zone was only used to gain access to the next one.
Yeah, PoP and GoD flagging system was a total screw up, I think SOE is just correcting that error now, and for what it's worth, it's made me change my mind about leaving.

So now a casual person who maybe raids 2 or 3 times a week at the most still has opportunity to advance their character. Guilds and raidleaders still control loot and access for us, so I won't get the same picks as a raider who has 300 days in a zone, but at least now there's at least the chance. Whereas before they opened it up, I had ZERO hope to get anything better or experience these places.
