Can someone give me a good explanation of expeditions?

I know there are some for GoD and some for OoW. How do they differ?

How are they different from LDoN adventures?

Is there a level range limit?

Are they timed?

Is there a goal, as in LDoN adventures?

Are you stuck with the same group the whole time, as in the LDoN adventures?

How many or how few can go in at a time?

Where do I get the expeditions assigned to me for both GoD zones and OoW zones?

As you can see...I'm clueless. I've searched thru the forums very thoroughly. There is a ton of stuff written about the LDoN's, but not about Expeditions.

They are different from LDoN's in that you don't get any adventure points, and that the xp is actually worthwhile.

They are not timed, and the mobs repop. You could conceivably stay in there all day and keep killing things.

I don't believe there is a goal, but in OOW there are 3 different expedition zones that each have different named mobs/drops. I think the GoD expeditions result in flags for some zone entry but I'm not sure.

You can have 6 people in the expedition, but I believe you can remove and add new people as you go along.

For OOW, the Grandmaster dragorn-looking guy by the three tunnels just north of the zone in to Dranik's Scar will give you expeditions. The three tunnels by him are the entrances to the expedition zones.

The nameds have PH's, but I'm not familiar with which mobs they are so I'd just suggest venturing deeper and deeper in killing things until something pops on track.

Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm a newbie to expeditions myself.

Yes all GoD expeditions result in flags... and are actually kinda harder than OoW's, except maybe sewers.

Most people do OoW exp's to get Signets to get part of the Anguish flag quest, but they have ok loot and not bad exp.

On all expeditions you can add and remove people on the fly if you wish.
commands are /dzadd nickname, /dzremove nickname, /dzleader nickname.. etc. Or you can do it on your expedition window. People can zone out and be replaced whenever (except on lock outs).

GoD expeditions

Sewers
Given by: High Priest (for the REAL ones), and Gamesh (for the farm/practice ones) in Barindu.
1) Emanating Crematory
2) Lair of Trapped Ones
3) Pool of Sludge (mobs hit near 1k here)
4) Purifying Plant

These are the easiests of the GoD expeditions, good for GoD spells. They each have different difficulties (i couldn't order them in difficulty order). These you have to do to get Breakdown in Communications quest items. If you beat all 4 it gives you the same flag as beating Smith Rondo (raid) in Ferubi.

The goals here are indicated by the NPC that gives you the exp (i cant remember hehe)

Vxed and Tipt
Given by: Apprentice in Barindu
This 2 result in Kodtaz flag if you have beaten Smith Rondo in Ferubi or if you have beaten all 4 sewers. These are hard, but doable. Just have to have a good group that is good with their class and don't afk every 5 minutes.

Vxed goal is to kill 50 mobs then go up clear a room at the top and hail an npc.
Tipt goal is to beat different "trials" . Cragbeast trial is one that you spawn a bunch of Cragbeast babies, you kill them and you pop the mom. Kill that and you win it. The 2nd trial is to clear a room full of ghosts that are really hard to pull, and pop 1 more once they die (they "split"). The third trial is to answer some riddles crrectly or you get trained by a metric ton of pookas. The fourth trial is to clear a camp full of mobs until you get a key, which takes you to the final area. The final trial is to beat the boss which is in the room that only the key that you got in the fourth trial opens. The boss is somewhat hard and hits fast. Drops loot at the end (time level). After you kill him just run to a rock for flag

Ikkinz 1 (Singular Might)
Ikkinz 2 (Twin Struggles)
Ikkinz 3 (Tri-Fates)

These 3 trials are in Kod`taz and are for KT progress, to gain access to the Ikkinz raid instances, the Uqua instance and the rest of the GoD flags. They also have to be done for BiC. They are really horrible exp but drop good time+ items from named. These are way harder.

The goals on these are to clear until the boss of each one. Each boss is of course different and requires a bit of strategy, and they are also a lot harder than say Tipt boss.

OoW expeditions
These have no goals basically, it's just an instanced for you to exp in and farm named. Different named pop in different ones, and the NPC that gives you the expedition tells you which name you have in that instance.

As opposed to GoD expeditions (not sure if GoD exp's did this), these adjust difficulty to the level of the person that requested them.

Catacombs of Dranik
Given by: Grand Historian in Ruined City of Dranik.
3 available (maybe only 2) : A, B, C

Mobs hit in the elem range... 600-900 mostly. Get a good puller. Good exp, good farm for items and aug components. Of course you need the signet from here for the CoA flag quest.

Dranik's Scar
Given by: Grand Historian in Ruined City of Dranik.
Again, 3 (or 2) are available: A, B and C

Again mobs hit for about the same as catacombs, not bad loot, somewhat nice exp.. and of course another signet is found here for anguish quest.

Dranik's Hollows
Given by: Grand Historian Gersh in Dranik's Scar
Versions available: Fire pit, Watering Hole, Murkglider Hive.

This one is located at dranik's scar (not rcod like the other 2). It is easier than the other 2, it's not as good exp but has ok drops and actually drops some spells. Again there's is a signet mob in this expedition as well.

Muramite Proving Ground Trials
6 trials available:
Trial of Weaponry (given by Projection of Body)
Trial of Fear (given by Projection of Mind)
Trial of Ingenuity (given by Projection of Realms)
Trial of Subversion (given by Projection of Tactics)
Trial of Destruction (given by Projection of Power)
Trial of Efficiency (given by Projection of Arcana)

These expeditions are way different than the others, they consist of "trials" or tests which if you beat you gain a FREE AA point called Trials of Mata Muram that raises your resist cap. There are 6 total points and 1 point for each trial of course. The loot here is quarm level. These are really really hard, are fine for a Quarm equipped group or a Qvic+ group. There's a decent walkthrough somewhere in the boards on each one.

A great strat for Vxed and Tipt (mountain Kod'Taz access trials) is to bring an enchanter for slows and for pet. Enchy charms pooka, and it is pretty much all the dps you need.

Is there a min number of peeps?

Well, for tipt you *need* 3 people in order to pass the cragbeast matriarch part.

all OoW expeditions require a minimum of 3 people to activate...

however, for Vxed, Tipt, Sewers in GoD you can get em alone, and add people as you go, or just try to grind a bit alone.

Not sure about MPG trials or Ikkinz though..

MPG trials you need 3 to request as well.

Ikkinz/Uqua/Inktuta expeditions you can get solo, THEY ARE NOT SOLOABLE ZONES. Trust me, I've tried all 3 (and died in all 3).

Are you sure on Uqua and Inktu'ta as being able to get them solo, or how long has it been since you tried that. Reason I ask is because I know the Ikkinz raid trials you need at least 36 people in a raid to get one. Trying to figure out if its feasable to farm the first guy in Inktu'ta for molds when the M'sha's aren't up.

Doesn't the first guy in Inktu'ta only rarely drop molds anyways? I think I recall seeing an "Uncut Pristine Ruby"...spell shield 1% aug drop from him. Probobly not worth the effort to farm him.

The first guy in inktu'ta drops molds BUT rarely.. and i mean VERY RARELY. His common drop is the aug heh. Not sure if you can get an inktuta exp solo. I doubt it, but may be possible.

You can request Inktuta (and Uqua) expeditions solo as of 2/10/05.
Do not try to solo anything in either zone.
You will die.
Horribly.

Nah, you survive fine til you pull something.

Those non-kos golems at the start of Inktuta will rape you for 3800 x lots though when they assist the angry trusik dudes, and the angry trusik dudes range proc a hard to resist strong snare (85% snare iirc).

Uqua is just sick, and you deserve to die horribly if you think you could possibly solo in there.
