I figured you guys would be jabbering all day about stuff!

I got the expansion yesterday and explored for about 2 hours, did a couple quests, and then got killed by that dragon that got unleashed when the zones opened.

Unfortunately I had to log after that and haven't had time to get back on.

Other than the craptizing of the Bazaar, has anyone found anything interesting so far?

If you are speaking of Tirranun, that dragon is spawned when the quest to unlock Broodlands is completed. Kelvenur, on The Tribunal, in my guild was the first to complete the quest to unlock Broodlands in Lavastorm (Server first), and immediately Tirranun popped. We attempted to kill him with 16 people, got him to 75% when he despawned with the emote to the effect, "I will return."

BTW, the Dragon graphic is TOTALLY Awesome.

PS. Some folks were able to "squeeze" thru the wall in Lavastorm into Broodlands, but either got stuck in the tunnel or got booted back to Lavastorm.
If you were quick enough to bind before getting booted back to Lavastorm, and then camped, you were able to stay in Broodlands.

From what I've seen so far, DoN reminds me of Ykesha. Content wise it seems bad, but utilities are good.

First Impression:

Good things
1. Guild Hall. This is a good addition to the game and this will make a lot of things easier.

2. Guild Lobby - Player looking for guild boards. This feature should have been in game long time ago. Message Boards in Inns were in original EQ.

3. Ingame email system (another attempt to copy WoW). This feature should have been in game a long time ago.

Bad Things
1. New Bazaar is horrible. There was no reason to change old bazzar, really.

2. If you played WoW you recognize those new "missions" as a *very bad* attempt to bring WoW Quests to Everquest.

3. Most zones I saw so far have a bad design. You really get the impression the artists had very little time to create this expansion.

4. Guild Lobby - Summoning your corpses for under 200pp at level 70 trivializes content and takes a lot of fun from certain zones. Some people will claim this was necessary, but I personlly think this trivializes the game too much.

5. This is not directly related to the expansion itself and I don't know how it is on other servers but I don't see many people in new zones. Some are empty, some have 4-5 players. Will there be server mergers soon ?

I agree about the good utilities. The guild bank especially makes me happy.

The changes in the bazaar just confuse me. I liked the way it was. I am going to try to give it a chance to grow on me, but so far - ick.

I love the graphics though! The new lavastorm is wonderful, The ascent is beautiful, and I really like stillmoon temple. Love some of the new models too. So far still no lag, but I have heard different from others.

One weird bug - somehow mouse control seems to be getting deactivated since the patch. Need to toggle it to make it work again.

Perhaps that's not because of low population, but maybe because so few people have actually bought it? Maybe?

More likely due to the fact that the rewards coming out of those zones are far below the quality of items from MPG and WS. The mission system is cumbersome and buggy, lots are put off by having to do those as well.

Sounds like I will have to use my 2nd bind AA in the Bazaar just so I don't have to do this maze thing more than once.
