Hi all,
I have a few questions about Dire Charm. I read the threads and tried to check the HOH soloing guide (link is broken and search didn't work).
So I am about to purchase the aa (It is hard for me to save up 9 aa's :ange: )
I am mainly wanting it to farm my hero parts in HOH.
1. Can I DC a wrulan youngling at the zone line and invis and head to basement without losing my pet. I know this can be done with summoned pets just wasn't sure about DC'd pet.
2. Would it be best to aggro kite them in the basement? Or root it, and let pet fight while I nuke, dot and heal? Or will the pet become road pizza? lol

Ok I might have more questions but this is all I can think of right now, so any help is greatly appreciated! :wavey:

Thanks in advance
Guv

You can't invis while you have a DC pet, or it comes to eat you, which can be interesting if you've buffed, hasted, and armed it with summoned toys. Not that I'd know that from personal experience or anything :shuffle:

Bah so hmm then that won't help me farm hero parts....dunno if I want to waste the aa's :ohwell:

Thanks for the help

you can take him if you want to. Just agro the little guy invis and run to the basement.. dc him there. he will follow, if you dont go to fast.

Correct, agro him, camo and run. Stay out of range so he doesn't hit you (or the other mobs will rape you) but don't get too far else he will forget about you. (wish other mobs forgot you that easy). DC when you get to basement.

You might also want to check the basement you are going to for see invis before you get your pet so you know you can run in there safely.

And agro kite is the only way. Pet can't tank. You couldn't even keep him alive one fight.

little pet is great. follow the advice above for getting him there, though Innate camo is a must. Get him there...park him. (If you are quadding, i wouldn't recommend hasting him as he will get agro.) Have him assist on quad at about 80 health and you should be good. He is really valuable for
the sentries. when you get a sentry, haste him, soe him, load up stun and
hand of ro...and keep agro with that. *stun is super fast cast so you dont have to worry about being beat on.

hasting him is ok on quads if you remember to switch targets for pet a few times, and possibly throw some ensnares into the mix to hold aggro, although in these days of spell casting subtlety and so forth this may not work quite so well as you'd like. Wtb on/off switch for subtlety... some days I just dont feel so subtle.

I always charmed the pet in advance and harmonied my way across the zone. Takes a little bit longer but I never had to worry about outrunning the pet.

DC's a nice to toy to have but nowhere near the utility it once had. Plenty of other aa's that are more important nowadays imo.

/mourns the loss ofhis DC'able pets.

Would be nice if they'd reconsider an advanced Dire Charm aa once the charm mechanics revamp is in.
