I fail to see how this would be useful in most aspects of human life. Neat, but it's not gonna be a high demand. The way I see it, the cost to produce it vs demand will not allow it to go to mass development. Having said that, this still takes technology to a new level with interfaces. The item itself may not be useful, but the principal of it to guide other technologies would be extrodinary.

I can't see it due to being on dial up atm, but isn't that the brain chip commercial for the ps2 launch? :P

I can't see it either. My 24k dialup connection would take all day to d/l it. Oh well. :) Is it something that would work on dialup? Is it bigger than a breadbox? :D

It is a demonstration of what appears to be little glass displays that contain programs. They are laid on a gridded table and when they are placed in a grid the program on the glass panel runs. One is a timer, one is a weather display, there is a map and a conference room camera. A stylus is being used to connect the little glass program units and when that happens the objects interact. The conference room and map were put together to display things on the large conference room screen for instance.

It is a curious bit of technology but I'm not so sure it will take off.

Wow, if only it were real! That would be awesome! But alas...
