I finally got flagged for PoF tonight (FR kill), and was thinking about switching my soloing grounds from HoH to the tables in fire. Never XPed there so was hoping you all could answer some questions for me. Passing by during the raid I think I spotted some picnic tables which I'm assuming is the fabled area. However, seemed to be a lot of mobs in a close proximity making it difficult to do much. What is the best strategy for soloing here? Are the mobs snareable? My usual method for soloing is root/rot. Mana pool is 5.2k with KEI and have FT9 atm. Assuming the fire DOT spells don't work there so guessing I would have to refine my tactics. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

all men model mobs are snareable, root works also, they have a very smal agrorange so it was easy to pull them solo.

i usualy snare one, debuff it with eci, an start kiting :)

at the tables are just one mob to avoid, the big red demon on the way to FR's lair. with a group or with a bigger mana pool you can start pulling outside, then try not to pull the cleriks their ch's aren't nice.

kiting at tables is easy, just don't let them catch you, they hit relatively hard ;)

Odds are the place will be camped when you get there so pay attention to what the others are doing and when asked to pull your job is to keep the mobs argo and not dps and the best way to do that is flame lick. Since it is your first time there I would suggest you do not pull a quad until you can do single pulls in your sleep.

They resist ensnare and serpent vines a lot... so heads up!

Rooting is virtually a waste of time there. They are highly magic resistant, very hard to root and usually break it fast. Kiting is the ticket. They all single pull.

I have never had a serpent vines resist though interestingly enough Nim.

With a 5kish mana pool I would suggest on using ensnare for it lasts much longer than serpent vines( which I have yet to see get resisted), although ensnare does get resisted at times.

Once you have them snared, use eci's debuff and your cold nukes, and swarm line dots.

Thanks for the advice on what to do. Little problem though.....can't make it to the tables lol. When I zone in to fire I pop Innate Camo and run around edge of zone to the second castle. I noticed all the guards around it see invis but I managed to make it past them. Also noticed that all the guards in the courtyard right next to tables see invis. I tried 5 or 6 times to carefully navigate my way through the courtyard but got jumped everytime. Is there any secret to making it through or any certain path to take to avoid getting too close to the guards?? Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Ensnare overrides serpent vines, so I usually pull with serpent, then cast ensnare until it doesn't resist. And I too never have resists with serpent vines.

Well at C1 the first building you come to, if the Captain is up he will aggro you and bring lots of friend. but other than that most of the mobs have a low aggro radius and if you run by them it should be okay. In C2 run the straigtest path to the tables, stay in the middle and dont linger, just run with foe of course.

As someone mentioned, there may already be people camping there. If they are not willing to show you the path, at C2 its basically straight through to tables. Also, if your guild (alliance) is killing FRo, have someone in your guild show you the way.

First off, I'd like to credit http://www.mapfiend.net for the map segment I chalked up to assist you.

Ok here's the deal. Start by running to the rock in front of the door to the second castle. Watch your back, occasionally one of the horses sees invis and Pyronis and Blazzax and/or Magnaton paths there and will smack ya from behind.

Wait until the two roamers have passed in front of the door and pop in. Follow the red line on that map making sure to stay to the left as much as possible. You can come very close to the huts on the left (practically on the step of em) without agroing. The middle platform with the guys on top of it is the big problem negotiating your way through. This is because it is an optical illusion. It is a building but because of the lack of walls, people have a natural tendancy to path closer to it and catch agro. By lining yourself up on the left side closer to the buildings, you insure that you do not fall victim to this optical illusion.

Once past the center building your home free. Only the two giants at the start of the hall into the Fennin Prep Area ( AKA The Tables ) and they are easily avoided by centering yourself in the path..

On the map I have marked your path by a red line. Approximate mob locations are red dots and buildings with no mobs have a green dot in them. The center building with the optical illusion is highlighted in blue.

As usual, I am not an artist and my drawings ( lines and dots ) suck but I think it might help.
