Hmmm, I dinged 43 this evening, and I did it partnering with a 40 necro in Dulak's Harbor. The thing that amazed me was how he was soloing before hand. He would just pull something with a dot, then run around in circles so that mob chased him while his pet nicked, cut and kicked the mob to death. Is there something like that for druids??

Yea, snare the mob, dot it, run around, re-dot as needed. Throw some nukes in too.

you cant do aggro kiting unless you've got a pet. so no, you can't do what the necro was doing, without a charmed pet atleast (don't think there are any in Dulak for druids.)
but as netura said, kiting works fine.

Ok, I'm still 43 cause of that stupid patch taking all day to download, but anyway, I do like quadding those giants, but I am thinking besides lots of giant dead and the xp and faction, I'd like to do something that gets me nice gear at the end. Are there any quests I should be working on, that can help me severely upgrade my gear? I like the idea of that ring from Chardock that gives +25 DS and is rechargeable as long as you maintain ally faction with them. I am tradeskilling, so I will probably do the prayer shawl quests as well. Are there any other quests I should be considering?

And yes I have already dont the PotC earring/spell quest. And I am saving up for a fast droggie.

there are easy quests in lavastorm which yield 4 items (waist, neck, finger, back). They are really easy but the items are nice. If you don't need them you can dump them to vendors for 119p, or sell at bazaar for more (the necklace runs for 1k on some servers I think, ring is also good) You can only repeat the tasks once per hour but if you have multiple 40+ chars then you can rotate them and earn some money without any risks.

there are rats you can charm in dulak but I don't think you can do it at 43. I quadded the east dock in dulak for some time. I did this until the Oceancrasher mobs gave poor exp. Before you try this camp, quad the open area near zone in. it should be on your left after you zone in and near a big wooden wall. these mobs are lower level and hit for less; and you'll be close to zone if you get into trouble.

As mentioned before, Agro kiting was what the necro was doing in Dulak. Most druids will get a partner with a pet to accomplish this type of hunting in their 30's - 60's.

Here's a goodie I just remembered while typing other stuff below:
Jaggedpine forrest!! Port to Surefall glades, run through waterfall, up the ramps till you find a red glowing sphere. Click and zone into a nice open zone with lots of animals! Here's the Allah link for the beastiary of the zone:
http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?zone=157

You can use your new lvl 43 charm spell Allure of the wild!! What I did was snare a Timber Griffon (griffawns are lower lvl), charm it, haste it (with savage spirit). Then I go snare another giffawn, or a Giant anocanda (also animals) and sick the pet on them. You will have to watch when charm breaks, but until then, you have two options... Can chain cast lvl 1 Flame lick on the mob your attacking and let pet beat on it while you run around (works for kiting non-animals too).. or you could also cast a FEAR spell on the animal you're attacking while your pet beats on it and you sit and med.

As for the other options: I enjoyed Dulak in my low to mid 40's. I snared a mob and used the irregular pathing (near zone line anyway) so that the mob would walk away to the wall and back again while I sit and med. Otherwise root / dotting worked just as well.

Could also do the following:

Root / dot a wyvern in Cobalt scar. (once you get your 46 lightning spell, can quad these and start to enjoy a KEI buff too! :) )

quad in Scarlet Desert (I forget which mobs were best, I never did this but it's a hot zone atm and should yield nice exp)

finding a nice group in City of Mist (tough to solo near entrance due to trains)

Could try root rooting in The Grey (although mobs in Scarlet desert prolly have less HP)

So.. you've got lots of options! Hey - and if you find yourself with an excellent group, can even go to Dranik's Scar in OoW with hopes of random augment drops.

Enjoy and GL!

Another option is go to dranik Scar in OOW and find a group there. You want to raise loyalty faction there in order to do your OOW armor quests later. The resulting armor from the quests are good. It takes a while to raise the factio so why not start now.

If your working on Coldain Shawl Quest you can try Kiting the wolves (Drakkel Dire Wolves) in Great Divide. This will raise your Coldain faction for Coldains to get the quest. There's a valley near the Pok book to pull to that has a dragon spire in it. Very few roaming Frost Giants in the valley, but they do roam there. Another area is the valley where the wizard spires are, tho there are more roaming Giants there. Good thing is that the Giants have a very short aggro range. Keep Lev up and you won't run into falling problems. (It's extremely mountainous there) Loot isn't that great at all, but it's faction you want for the shawl quest. Killing the wolves (or Giants) will also raise your Claws of Veeshan faction so your not KOS in Cobalt Scar when you start quading the Wyverns (great loot there!) Wolves and Giants also drop items you'll need for the shawl quest. Hope this helps. Happy Hunting:smile:
