OK, for the first time I decided to get the retail version and the the download version so I could get the in-game items. I order from EB Games. It arrives Saturday. I get two boxes. One with a CD which I load. The second with a note in it that says "purchase the final retail box version of .... to receive the two in-game items".

So what do I do to get my in-game items. /claim didn't work. Do I have to go buy something else? That would be a rip off. I don't see any other instructions on what to do.

I got my three from EQGames too, they also arrived with three boxes marked pre-purchase, no game installed, and three boxes with the CD.

I had no problem claiming the boar and tooth (shroud) on the two accounts I registered.

You must have an inventory slot open. Neither item will fit in a bag. Then type /claim 5 for the boar, /claim 6 for the tooth.

I finally got it - I needed to register the expansion (doh). But some instructions in the CD box would have been nice. In my defence... it was my first time buying the retail.

And the /claim numbers for me was 6 & 7.

I personally think it sucks that you have to buy the retail versions of it to get the boar.. i live in Denmark.. and if i were to buy the retail version i had to :

1. Wait for over 6 months before it even came here
2. run around in 1242154215 stores to try and find it as nobody sells EQ in DK anymore..

I have tryed to order it from english stores etc but got ripped of twice now.. so not doing that again!

Still think it sucks that we pay the same ammount of money , but we dont get the ingame items..
