The one area of my game that seems to be severely lacking, is a solid understanding of how the various debuffs we have stack with each other and when exactly to apply them, so I figured i'd toss a post up in the hopes of getting a little advice. :)

I've not had the opportunity to make much use out of any of our fire debuffs aside from being designated to stick Fixation on Vox once, in general i've found in XP groups my mana is better spent nuking as the mob will be dead before any significant benefit would be taken from a debuff or DOT. With the addition of a few new debuffs in the 62-64 range i'm beginning to wonder if this has changed. (plus the fact i'm looking at dealing with a few larger mobs if all goes well in my enrollment process to a new guild and would like to be adequate at the role of debuffer)

From what i've gathered at a quick browse of Lucy, the worthwhile debuffs we gain in PoP are Hand of Ro, Fury of Ro and E'ci's Frosty Breath. How do these stack with earlier debuffs? (I know E'ci's is a special case, more referring to the first two) How long do you personally wait for stacking debuffs and in which order do you cast them?

My best guess so far is that you'd stack Ro's Fiery Sundering, Hand of Ro and Fury of Ro in that order. (39 is the cutoff for duplicate DOTs correct? ex. Drones stacking with Winged Death. so no Fixation)

Is Ro's Illumination worth a look assuming you're facing a single large target and can avoid aggroing adds with it? (Lucy just stopped loading so I can't compare the stats with the other debuffs at the moment) What does it stack with? Anyways, hopefully this is enough to spark a little discussion on the topic. :)

At least as far as single XP group POP encounters I don't use any of them except Fury.

I dot with Fury and it makes some happy wizards land Sunstrike for full Damage. Also makes Wildfire do full damage so I often choose that over moonfire as Full Damage on Wildfire > Part Damage on Moonfire. All depends on the mob.

I also assume it will be a nice spell to match up with Summers Flame if I should ever see a spectral and get a lucky turn in, or when spells start to saturate and hit the bazaar which 63+ haven't yet.

Tried out Hand of Ro in HoT. Hard to tell if it does anything else but it makes nukes land real nice if they are fire based.

If we stack all of our debuffs, we can reduce ATK and AC on the mobs by a VERY substantial amount. Many dmg dealers have reported getting hit for far less by mobs and far less often.

I don't think that Hand of Ro and Sundering stack...

Ro's Illumination (which is single target btw, or very very small radius...) stacks with Hand of Ro.

one of these do not stack with Ro's Smoldering Disjunction tho

Hand of Ro seems to be equivalent to the old sunder and disjunction, but without the huge agro or DD component. It lands easily, low agro, debufs a lot of atk and ac and fire resist. I see it listed everywhere as lasting 10mins but it lasts 3mins only. Cast this first, I use it on pretty much anything in exp group and raid situations.

if you're in for a long fight or the mob is unslowable you can reduce mobs damage output more by casting Ros Illumination which debufs quite a bit more atk and a litle more ac. (lasts 10min)

if you want to debuf cold resist and a litle ac Eci's frosty breath will stack with the above. (lasts 10min)

if you're hell bent of debuffing ac (maybe a fairly long fight where melee find it hard to hit) DoT with fury of Ro to take off more. this dot lasts 1min. using all 4 takes more than 100ac off the mob

Ro's Fiery Sundering (39)
50mana, 5minutes, 3.5 sec casting time
Dragon Resistance
Decrease Fire Resist from 37 (L39) to 42 (L60)
Decrease Armor Class (AC) from 6 (L39) to 8 (L60)

Hand of Ro(62)
165mana, 10minutes, 3.5sec casting time.
Target: Decrease Fire Resistance (72)
Target: Decrease AC (4:cool:
Target: Decrease ATK (100)

One is a significant upgrade to the other....on the surface.

It's my personal opinion that these debuffs have a neglible effect on "boss" mobs. So the debuffing to the extent we can isn't worth it imho on those guys. During regular xp mode the fights are short and by the time you get your debuffs stacked the mob is more than half dead.

I've used RFS and once it landed I never had a resist on xp mobs for fire. Now, if RFS works for 115 less mana why would I use the other debuffs? i have better uses for that 115 mana than to prevent the tanks from taking 50-100hps of damage. Ummm...for 175 mana I can heal for 428. Just doesn't seem worth it imho.

Why do you use "Fantastic" when "good enough" works just as well?
