Hey! Those are very cute models. Either that or how about Koala form? :P

Yes! great idea!

Brilliant idea. But you know Sony is going to say there is not enough room in the global file for them, yet models for other classes will gladly be added.

If they did, it'd probably be an enchanter illusion.

I'm still trying to figure out why the new chanter wolf form is chanter only.

Not that I care really since I can become a Happy Tree!

yes to the thought, no to the form. i'd rather have a 'real' animal form, instead of a wrulon. tiger/snake/bear/lion/panda/rat/bat/bug/bird whatever....

I always wanted to be able to turn into a griffon. With the ability to fly very high. Then I could fly and drop little griffon "gifts" on people's heads that I didn't like.

I think instead of wolf form for the higher level spells, we should be able to turn people into Nighstalkers. That would get rid of the many issues that melees face in regards to our current wolf form and look pretty sweet as well ;)

I could see nightstalkers being like warewolf form... Seasickness still.. Because, that's balance right? Making the player nausious or giving them headaches in return for the buffs the illusion gives...

I like the Wurlons,, I always thought of them as an upgraded Booboo, though. I donno if I'd like it as a form. I always wanted a tiger or a cheetah as a high end form, although I'd take wurlon. Screw giving the enchanters yet another illusion. We've had wolf form for 4 years now, throw us another bone.

It's wrulon. :p

I'd rather have wrulons for pets. Come to think of it, I'd like to have Stomples for a pet (lvl 60 bunny rabbit with nasty sharp pointy teeth).

I'd like Snow Bunny form.

Would save on shrink battery charges!

But wrulon form would be very cool!

Ah, a Form of Cheetah - we've had spirit of cheetah forever.

Possibly, a Form of Shrew also :)

one thing i would like would be an animal form thats usable indoors, so basically an animal form without speed increase, or maybe an animal form with the shrew speed increase.... if the global file is an issue, just make it a darn wolf without speed increase, and substitute some other silly attribute, like a mild haste or maybe let it give horse like standing meditation(i wish, hehe)

Tedey beat me to it, I was just thinking that the new changes to make feral pack indoor usable doesn't really fit well with wolf form. I mean come on, wolves are outdoor animals.

Shrew form.. err.. I didn't know what a shrew is so I checked with an online dictionary:

Etymology: Middle English shrewe evil or scolding person, from Old English scrEawa shrew (animal)
1 : any of a family (Soricidae) of small chiefly nocturnal insectivores related to the moles and distinguished by a long pointed snout, very small eyes, and velvety fur
2 : an ill-tempered scolding woman

Ill-tempered scolding woman? Hmm.. might fit with some of the druids in the grove, but hardly the image us druids would want to project, so thanks but no Illusion: Shrew for me please.

Change the spell Feral Pack to Wrulon Pack or Nightstalker Swarm, I'ld love it :)

I fully agree with a new non-wolf form illusion for us. It is about time we get something new. With PoP we were given an upgrade following the lines of what we already had but no new illusion. And personally Wrulon would be wonderful.

Form of the KittyKat (outdoor only, self buff)
1: Illusion: Wluron
2: Increase AC by 50
3: Increase Mana by 4 per tick
4: See Invisible
5: Ultravision
6: +100 AGI
7: 70% footspeed
(slightly faster than SoE, does not stack with brackencoat or mask of the forest. Does not have a damage shield component, but has 2 more AC and a pile of AGI.)

Scaled Wolf Form (indoor usable, self buff)
1: 45% footspeed
2: Increase AC by 50
3: Increase Mana by 4 per tick
4: See Invisible
5: Ultravision
6: Increase Damage Shield by 20
Note: (does not stack with brackencoat or mask of the forest. It is brackencoat + mask + 45% footspeed + 6 pts of damage shield + 2 AC).
// The model is already in the global file

Quote:
Form of the KittyKat (outdoor only, self buff)[/quote]

I saw this and couldn't help but think of this:

Form of the KitKat
1: Illusion: KitKat
2: Increase AC by 200
3: Increase shielding by 10%
4: Root
5: -300 Fire Resist
6: +500% Taunt

Description: Turns the target into a small chocolate covered wafer biscuit. The chocolate coating provides defense against physical attack, but is very vulnerable to melting. NPC’s are highly likely to try and eat the target.

With the new illusion modifiers that have been put in, most of the faction problems with zone monster illusions no longer exist. There's shouldn't be a reason for druids to gain Animal Illusions similar to the mage's Monster Summoning spells.

If there is an animal flagged mob in the zone, a druid can change to it's form. Standard statistics buffs, maybe without the SoW component to allow indoor use.

> I'd rather have wrulons for pets.

My thoughts exactly, and I mean charming.

If SOE is going to restrict us to charming animals AND randomly leave many animals unflagged as animals, the least they can do is let us charm high level stuff like enchanters do.

Colcannon

Animal illusions based on zone files would be cool, but I thought they had the ability to pull mob files from one zone to the other?

If this is the case, then global files wouldn't matter unless the transferred files can only be used for the NPC population.

Because people have different ideas of fun, and if this is fun for them or useful so what. Not trying to be a prick here, but people whine about class balance, utility, usefulness... is that why you play the game? or is it to have fun? Im probly more guilty then most of trying to get new toys for my class, but ive always had a love for this ebil game, and therefore the future of it concerns me since i want to continue playing~

I actually think Cheetah form would be cool. Wrulon would be ok too I guess. But they should call it Form of Zuul or possibly Form of Gozer since those wrulons look like those dogs from Ghostbusters.

If it were Bunny form, I hope it would also give protection against the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. :)

Alaten

Wrulon form! Neat idea, I always thought druids should get more forms of illusions dealing with animals. I care less about the usefulness of it, once you hit a point in EQ where illusions matter, experience and levels just don't matter as much anymore...

Bunny, Bear (why should shamans be the only bears, we're the keeper of booboo), and the griffon would really be neat, I always liked the look of them. Maybe a Centaur too?
Why not, doesn't hurt anybody, doesn't make us overpowered but it would definitely bring interest to the game.

how many of us have rogues for the masks and spent hours and hours of time to get them all

Add 65 Frog shaman to the list of alts just for the frog flip casting for Quescience :)

Or just add Cheetah (as in the common Luclin model) illusion to the Spirit of Cheetah spell. ;)

Speaking as a cat owner who has claw marks to prove it, maybe add a 1hs atk bonus to be like a real kitty.

Actually I think what would be pretty neat and useful would be Form of the Ferret Level 24 spell (indoors only 30pct speed increase), and Form of the Great Ferret (indoors only 50pct speed increase 100 to Atk ) Level 52 Spell. It would throw us into ferret form (smaller than wolf thus giving us a benefit of shrink) and it would truly ROCk having a bunch of rodents chargin through a dungeon!

Alaten
08-26-2003, 06:59 AM
I have no interest in being a rodent of any type :P

Menlaiene
08-26-2003, 08:46 AM
Ferrets aren't actually rodents, they're in the mustilidae family which includes skunks, weasels, raccoons, etc. Anyway my ex roommate had one and I'm not fond of the beasts at all. Even if it buffed all stats and gave super mana regen, I would not lower myself to become a ferret!
