I'm curious to hear what people have to say in response to this post. I was wondering why it's locked. :p

*Edit - Miles, for crying out loud, change your sig. 150kb is too large and I'm getting tired of chasing your posts down to manually edit them =/*

I don't know why it is locked, but any "information" will be 100% speculation. The only people who actually know work for Verant and if they were going to tell us before hand, they would probably do it as a formal announcement (either on the EQLive site or in a patch message) and not in response to a minor thread on a message board.

I was kind of wondering the same thing. We spend a lot of time here speculating, particularly on this board. I can not recall another thread like it anywhere..

Kind of weird

There was a similar thread here a few weeks ago.

May be fear that if Vi reads the threads they will decide to blow out people's experience.

Indefensible if they did it. A lot of people were 60 years before Luclin came out (and gave them a chance to put exp earned elsewhere).

How many times have some of the long term players "dinged 61" over the course of oh 2 years?

Would be wierd to suddenly say all that experience earned didn't matter.

/shrug.

using kunark as a reference they wont drop the level 60 EXP to 0 i remember dinging 51 off a low level quest when kunark came out litterly only needed one more experiance point.

Cause I felt like it!!!

No, actually I didn't lock that one myself. My guess would be because it's already been addressed in a few threads prior to that one.

I locked it on the main board, then decided to send it over here. I locked it because I had seen the exact same question asked several times already in currently existing threads (and it would only get the same speculative answers, if any). Just stamping out needless board spam.
