Wow...I wish I could say that I was around when that came out, but, well, I'd be a humongous liar :D

FYI - Brad McQuaid chimed in on a thread over at Fires of Heaven where the original EQ1 trailers were being discussed. The one linked above was the fully cinematic version, and had no in game components to it. Purely crafted. Then someone linked the Alpha Trailer that Verant used to get some funding, which was exclusively from in game captures, and in my opinion was much better that the crafted one. :) If someone has or can link the Pre-Alpha trailer, then you'll get a real treat.

With that said....link to the link of the pre-alpha movie.

Gotta love the pre-release character models.

And Brad said at some point that some "really smart" management marketer type came up with the phrase "You're in our world now.". He gave the impression that he never really approved of that phrase.

Have to SAVE it to your computer. Doesn't stream directly to your video player.

I got it. Wasn't thinking at the time. When you said link to a link I was waiting for a second page and trying to look like I was working.

Dear god...

I was actually thinking a few weeks ago about asking if anyone had a link to the first movie. I had obviously not seen the 2nd one.

Awesome job guys.

hehe You're welcome. I won't take much credit. I just happened to notice brad commenting on the FoH boards about it because I religously follow the the Vanguard Dev. trackers. :) But I'm glad people like it. Has a very strong nostalgia component.

You probably need a divx or xvid codec.

Does anyone know what music that is on the Pre-Alpha movie? My three year old is making me play the movie endlessly to hear the percussion parts.

I don't know but it seems super similar to
Juno Reactor - Conga Fury

But juno reactor always have different versions of his songs (like pistolero) so it might be his after all.
