Why aren't people LFG any more? I'm trying, and some of the LFG's just plain say no, some don't have the expansions, others wouldn't survive where I want to go and even random people from /who class won't group.

This is just a pain I am having. I really want to finish the DoD spell arcs, any of them. Or do any of the Dreadspire missions, any of the other mask missions, signets, or MPG trials. You know, ANYTHING! Last night I settled for a Creator group yet again. We plowed through 2 in like 45 minutes. XP is good and all, but hell, I want to see and do MORE!!

I've heard it all... Pick and choose your group. Look for a decent tank, make friends with people who play your time. Well, that works fine and dandy in fairy tales.

Sabreyn and I build groups all the time.

We normally have a scertain set of people who want to go with us, but we normally grab one or even two random people per night.

Sometimes these people work out, other times they get us all killed.

In general tho, we've given up looking for clerics. I heal 97 percent of our single group content, which to date is every single Arc Mission for the Spell Series, Mask Series and Dreadspire Key, with the exception of maybe 2.

I seriously encourge making a group of people who do things nightly, it puts alot less strain on you. With 4 or 5 strong people used to working toghter, you can take the random slightly weaker person who may be willing to help and see that content just like you do.

A lot of the time when I put /lfg on, the first few tells I get I'll usually say no to if it's not someone from another high end guild and/or if it's not something that I'm really interested to do that day. In fact, most of the first 30 mins I'm /lfg I'm looking for vital classes to form my own group, I'm the kind of person who don't see a purpose in making a group if you don't have the vital classes there first - you'll just be wasting people's and your own time.

A suggestion: Make kite groups for the nest or DODH instance if you can't find vital classes, but don't fill up the group. Once your able to find the vital class you need, fill up the last few slots and move onto the tasks you want to do. You'll find that most people are happy as long as they are getting decent xp.

One thing I also use is the Group Looking For Players tool.
I put up the "goal" and the classes I"m looking for to fill in the spots.
After filling your group remember to take down the note tho or you will get more tells after you have filled up.

"Where's the named?"
"Right there..."

I must have fired Mindwrack on every mob. She wasn't really poorly geared either. How did she run out of mana all the time? No Cheal?

I give up too, after her.

Don't know what to tell you either. I make my own groups but without a guild tank and at least one guild dps class I usually don't bother and go watch some TV or play PS2.

Two Pious Lights per mob as opposed to One Complete Heal.

Granted my mana regen is probly a little bit higher, but using 2 debuffs + 3-5 Dawnstrikes per mob and I never even came close to running out of mana. No clue what she was doing.

I think most of the problem is the server itself. I have the very good fortune of being stationed in sunny San Diego, California. But, most of the people on EMarr are EST/CST.

I love my guild. We raid 3 days a week, and that fits my schedule for work and RL great. They are a great bunch of people and I've seen more because of them then I ever would have. But, after a raid most people log off since they are 2 to 3 hours ahead of where I am. I'm still ready to hook up a mission or do some XP. I think that's what's happening to most everyone else on the server. Just getting ready to log off.

Heh, if I wanted to be single and never have sex again I'd play all weekend! Guess there's no winning here. I just can't have it all. Someone send me about $300 Million!!!

I'm semi-retired now because I got so dang sick of the Creator missions.

Then they came out with Darkhollow and the monster missions were fun, but eventually people only wanted to do the one, over and over again. It's exp grindage revisited. I actually got to do one of the pirate ones, and I had a blast being a rogue instead of my usual healer, and whenever I tried to get people to do that one, they'd whine about BB being too far away, and naaah that one takes too long, ad nauseum.

Then I tried a pixie one where someone proceeded to yell, scream, and holler at me for an hour about where to go and what to do, died multiple times, etc etc.

Gave up shortly after that.

The problem is that one mission in each expansion is always the best for exp gain versus level of difficulty, so everyone does that one until they're sick. If they'd make every mission the same in exp gain/ease, and just had different rewards, they'd probably have fewer dropouts.

Let's see, best group I've had in a coon's age was when Netty gimped me along for a Nest mission the other day. It's February 2006, and that was my first time in that zone. How sad is that???

This is part of the reason I'm in a guild.

I can usually find guildmates to do something. Sometimes I can't but most of the time it works.

As I said above, I have a guild and our raid schedule fits my RL obligations. Everyone just logs off after the raid cuz it's late for them. Same with the server. At 8pm PST, there is never more than 7ish people LFG. And they are all dps classes, no tanks, slowers or clerics.

I'm not saying I can't heal, I usually do good. But in order to heal I need a decent tank and a slower.
