I have been called Snide by someone
I may have been a nasty critical or even opinionated but at no time did my post meet any of the criteria listed above.
I made no false statements, I was not dishonest and it wasn't low.
I was not sly or disparaging.

I pointed out that someone could put their efforts towards changing something in Real Life instead of a game they really have no control over.
I also gave some examples.
In the right place the enthusiasm shown could have raised even one dollar or made one person aware of a social or health issue. That Dollar CAN make a difference.
I have an opinion and I will share it... sometimes in the wrong format or method.
I will leave that post alone now for the information he is presenting recently (about runes and the prices) is incorrect and not worth my time to read.
Please feel free to flame, criticize or Pm me but I stand behind not being Snide in the post refered to.

I never would have thought snide was either #1 or #2. My deff of snide would be #3.

And my guess it referes to the Don part which I think fits snide #3.

But I don't see the big deal. Just be happy :wiggle:

I would agree with definition 3 for the referred-to thread.
And you know, if someone wants to focus on issues in the game there is nothing wrong with that. If someone wants to focus on animal abuse, then people who focus on child abuse don't have the right to say, "You're wrong-you are focusing on the wrong thing!". Everyone needs something to care about and if people want to try to change their gameplay to a better experience, that is their choice. Don't we all care about a better experience? Don't we all play EQ?

That would be me saying that.
I was using the third definition of the word snide, and would not even have thought the first two would be synonyms of the word snide.
Also, I was saying that I felt your post was snide, not you. I am truly sorry if you took it to be a personal attack. Perhaps also I have chosen too strong a word.

I still think that the way you phrased your reply was disparaging, and needlessly so, but by now that is a moot point. (and it was the way you said it, not so much your opinion, that I felt crossed a line.)
