After POR launch I couldn't find people to play either MM or LDON  , so I decided to unlock my shroud forms.

Chose a bear beast level 5 and went to CB (unbuffed). Pretty easy handling 2-3 blues even whites at zone-in, but yellow ones ate half of my hp. Band wound could not go beyond 70% hp (100% hp was 148). So it's a bit risky to agro 3 mobs with one yellow in it. Frequent medding to recover endurance (for using special abilities).

Bandages ran out quickly so went back to POK at 25% unlocked and changed to a level 10 bear beast. This time went to Paludal (thicket zone in). Beast shrouds have speed buff which can be used indoor. All mobs there were blues (including light blue) and a few whites, which was not a problem. Bandages is a must.

I estimated that, 10 kills with level 5 shroud in CB, or 6 kills with level 10 shroud in PC unlocks 1% towards the next level. Light blue ones gave less exp towards unlocking as far as I can tell.

At 61% unlocked, ran out of bandages so back to POK and unshroud. Here's the interesting part: Got a message saying that I EARNED ONE AA! I remember was at 70% before starting so that means --- every 10 kills in PC gives 1% AA?

Changed to level 5 again and went to nedaria's landing for an instance to the forgotten hall. Was able to keep all 31 mobs dead in the 3 rooms (there is one rat behind a coffin so you have 11 mobs in the rat room). 3 rounds give 13% unlocking so that's 132 mobs for 13%, again 10 kills for 1%.

The FH is the fastest way to unlock since I could go non-stopping and kill 31 mobs every 10 minutes. After completely unlocking my wolf beast I went back to POK, hoping to get some AA points but my AA exp bar barely moved. (Conclusion: the level 10 run got my AA exp for me last time).

Will try level 10 shroud in FH tonight to see if exp goes faster.

Well, level 10 shroud kills a lot slower in FH. Unless you get PL'ed it's better go with the level 5 one. Again don't forget to buy several stacks of bandages.

I started messing with shrouds when I pulled my SK out of retirement (did an MM and found I enjoyed tanking again). I have the reptile, animal, and elemental shroud lines fully unlocked, working on undead at the moment.

I did all of them solo. Shrouded to 45 and killed in OT. On the fighter-type mobs, you'll have some downtime unless you get some regen first (or bring potions). As of now, I'm level 66, and as a skeleton wizard, level 45, on 90% AA, I get a % of AA every 2-3 kills.

/shrug, something to mess with when bored.
