Last two night I have used Tempest Wind (our spell that does 3 waves of dd) it was hit or miss whether all 3 waves hit. I played with it for about an hour as we cleared mini's in Anguish last night and it was random whether 1,2 or 3 waves would land.

Anyone else noticed this?

Yes, there seems to be a problem with "traps", "totems" and auras.. The AE seems to be hitting them resulting in lesser waves.

When mobs are moving it is possible that a wave does not land on it. But this was so long ago before PoR.

/nod, since PoR launch - Auras and such as Nim said are to blame. All rains are broke.

Rain spells are NOT broken. The problem is, if you or someone else has an Aura up and you cast a Rain spell, the Aura intercepts the rain spell. However, since the Aura is not considered a Hostile NPC, then the rain spell registers NO damage, however, mana is consumed. This is also the current thinking as regards arrows being fired and not reaching the intended target...you can see the arrows fired, but they disappear before reaching their target. Hopefully this will get fixed with today's patch.

Cheer for the nit-pick... sounds broke to me. And thanks for the capitalization.

If something isn't working as intended, then it is broken; regardless of the underlying factors as to why it isn't working.

I suppose you could argue whether it is the rain spells or the auras that are broken. I suppose you could also argue that neither is broken, but that the effect was an unforeseen consequence of the intended effect and the original intent needs to be modified slightly. :)

Sure, but then you can also say that an unforseen consequence of the intended effects, is a new unintended effects, hence a bug! :wiggle:

I repeat, the Rains are NOT Broken (Caps for emphasis). Cast a Rain spell anywhere else and with NO Auras on and they will function normally. This was /bugged ingame as well as posted on the SoE boards, and confirmed as a bug to the Auras, not the Rain spells.

Edit: Not worth it.

Keep up the GOOD job Nanoq (Caps for emphasis).
