I am confused on something.

Why on earth do people assume that most druids have their Anicent Heal from Omens and pretty much use only that heal.

Its been mentioned several times here (http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/board/message?board.id=Veterans&message.id=199509&jump=true) in the stances thread on EQlive as well as a Shaman Raiding Guide here (http://crucible.samanna.net/viewtopic.php?t=2011)

We're talking about a raiding guide, and most guilds out there that raid, will have their ancient heals

Well, if a player is in a guild that raids Demiplane or Anguish, I would expect them to have their ancient heals unless the guild just recently broke into said zones. I wouldn't expect that of the average druid though.

I agree with you there, but saying that most raiding guilds raid Anguish+ is well, wrong.

I can't picture that a high percentage of Druids have Anicent Heal anyway, so I am at a total loss why so many people compare to it.

/shrug, Anguish is not exactly hard to get to now. According to the progress page (http://www.lavanet.no/progress/index.php?expansion=OoW) over 50% of the 230 raiding guilds listed are in Anguish. I'm not neccessarily supporting anyone posting saying that ancient is used by most druids etc. In fact I refuse to even read the stances thread on EQLive because I know there is too much garbage (clerics that don't know what they're talking about) on that forum who like to spout off at any druid thread they see.

Runes were the first thing in anguish to rot for us...... the next being globes.

Runes go to alts in our guild now. Globes are still the highest priced item from Anguish.

But it is stupid to assume most druids have their Ancient spells.

You have to be a major guild to go to Anguish and constantly be successful there.

Many people enjoy more relaxed, family style guilds that are still raiding Time or such.

Think about how many people in pre-anguish guilds have got runes from a past application to an anguish guild. Also keep in mind a few pre-anguish people have got ancient runes from nobles in rifts.

I agree Fenier, I use sylvan infusion almost exclusively to heal, don't have the ancient heal.

On rare occasions I will load Chlorotrope if a Boss dps concerns me.

To me, I always use chlorotrope. SI mana ratio just doesn't seem that much better and I always need to heal for the most I can. With a 35% mod, I usually crit around 9k. Would be different if I ever were to get in Anguish. It will be years till I see any of that tho.
