... is that the entire discussion of class balance for all casters...and particularly druids...is going to get buried during the launch of PoP...and that in fact balance will not be happening though new levels, spells and gear will hide that from people for quite a while.

The fear part...4 months from now (or much less) people will realize we are still really, really gimp, and every class will call us whiners because we (like they) got some new spells and gear with PoP.

Wish I could feel more optimistic but I just really dread the next round of nerf by omission.

If our new heal gets wrapped into PoP spells I will be pissed.

What? Verant would be just starting to fix the problems of the last expansion only to put them on the back burner for months as they iron out the exploits, bugs, crash errors, and general incompleteness of a new expansion? Are you trying to suggest, perhaps even imply, that they might only then casually get back to the bugs of said previous expansion, months later (mind you) and then fix only a few. With your (out there in left field opinion) they might even put out a public anouncement saying folks have since moved beyond that content, fixing it isn't feasable, folks have moved on to work on other features, most of the team quit, or resources are, unfortunately, being consumed by the new future expansion? Honestly, sir, such talk is preposterous, nay unfathomnable.

Who could honestly, given their past multi-year unblemished track record, belive such a thing?

I will stand up tall and answer that question. No one, sir, no one. Honestly, such a thing would clearly...CLEARLY _never_ happen.

Thanks.

Role spews the crap well enough to be a PR man, if he lost some of the sarcasm. Until then, I prefer his spoofy PR like comments here.

I don't think you are alone in that fear, probably most of the druids out there have that feeling somewhere in their head. Either at the forefront or deep, back burner of the brain. All except the perenially optomistic and pessimistic among us.

I don't fear it at all.

I've already accepted it as what will come to pass. History has already shown us that this is no fear at all, but rather; fact.

The sooner everybody swallows that the sooner we can end the frustration over not being wanted in groups or raids and just accept it or move on to a new game.

I've chosen to stay with EQ and stay with playing a druid. Not because of some false hope from Verant, but because of the friends I game with and the guild that I am a part of.
