I don't think there's any rule against impersonating an NPC, especially when your name is different from the NPC. Go for it!

Inspired by this post, I made a character named Vetlar.

I first got him to KC. Then I killed his SOW (he doesn't run at SOW :p ). I see my first victim... a monk just running around trying to find a group. I was already walking towards him. When he sees me, he stops and starts walking backwards, watching me. This is when I start running at him. He feigns. I stop of course. He gets up again, and I run at him again. He feigns again. Finally I decide I scared him enough, and the next time he feigns I wander off towards the spawn point, walking.

I will post more and next time I do this, I will get pictures ;)

The time we (CiH) made a Wizard in a nice red robe named Zordac Ragifire, leveled him up to 20 just for this joke. Ran him down to Naggy room and laughed our asses off in amusement as guild after guild went trying to kill him. Fun stuff.

Trevize, you still have that story around? I gotta do a Practical Joker edition for SpawnWeek.

The Hadden one was awesome, iirc it came with screenshots of people angry that he had benn nerfed 'cus they couldn't land spells on him and they then thought maybe it had been changed to a quest and started trying trigger phrases.

I, um had a funny incident happen. I was helping some people with gorenaire and decided to kite him around dreadlands a bit.

I ran her around Karnors Castle and on the backside of the castle I ran into an iksar monk standing there. So I ran up beside him.

Knowing I had a good aggro lock on Gorenaire due to repeated debuff casts I wasn't scared that he would kill the person.

A few seconds later there was an /OOC from the poor sap.

"Who is Gorenaire, he cons indifferent to me and is a neon green druid who just nuked the hell out of me and cast fear."

The guild I was kiting Gorenaire for died laughing at that one.
