Pre-Luclin, druids were the only ones to get group regrowth, but now that shamans have it that role isnt even needed. How about making Nature's Recovery into the next step in regen spells? Increase the duration on spell to 19 minutes similar to regrowth, keep the regen at 30 per tick, have it a group buff, remove the 1.5 minute recast time, and make it so it doesnt stack with regrowth. Essentially it will become the next level version of regrowth of the grove and will be a buff unique to druids that would be wanted on raids. Would help with slow acting AOE curses/dots, and nice for people that Rod.

If it did not stack with Regrowth, it would be a nerf in my eyes.

Right now the spell is pretty worthless unless you 2-boxing a melee for AA xp, how would it be a nerf for it to replace regrowth of a grove as a buff that is 30 hp regen, 20 minute last time, group buff, and instant recast??? Trying to make this spell into a raid friendly spell that druids would actually use. In its current form, its too much trouble as it can only be kept on 2 people at most and takes an extra buff slot. What do you prefer - a buff that takes 1.5 minutes before it can even be cast, only lasts 3 minutes, and can be put on 2 people?? Or a spell that is group buff, lasts 20 minutes, and can be cast as much as you wanted on an entire raid?

Changing NR to a group spell is one of those relatively easy things to do that would help alot for raid healing. For the love of god dont make it have even longer duration though, then it would hardly help me keep a group alive. I would suggest something like: no recast, 900healed during 1min for 600mana maybe...

So much for getting that SS bp another worthless right click. In all seriousness regen is a super tool but counting on it to secure a slot in a raid is chancy. Remember that to some degree druids are going to "spend" their upgrade dollars on stuff and i really hate to see us run out and not be able to heal a tank.

Nature's Recovery is a great spell as was mentioned before is great for duoing with a melee. My brother is a 60 ranger I cast that on him+regrowth+his FoN+his standing regen(2 I think)=52hp regen per tick its great for duoing in velks lowers my mana use a ton, also usefull to cast on say a monk puller who is spliting mobs.

Double the mana cost and make it a group spell. You could leave the recast and the short timer, but it would then be a somewhat useful spell. Maybe even make it take a tad more mana and extend the duration out a bit.

Really though, I'm not sure of many things they can do realistically that would make the spell any less useful. Like one other poster said, about the only use I have found that makes it worth the spell slot is two boxing somewhere and using it along with regrowth to reduce the mana you need for healing.

Shamans got regrowth (and before druids) so group regrowth is really just a convience, it doesn't add all THAT much other than being MGBable. It's more mana efficient maybe but, c'mon this is shamans you're talking about.

Spirit of Bih'Li on the other hand is more than a convience, it's better than SoW, although argueably worse than Pack Spirit.

Just as an aside, when I started EQ i viewed group spells as one of the druids perks. The only other class (pre-kunark) with a group spell (apart from bards, but they're just weird, so don't count, and wizards group gate) was enchanters with GRM. We had Pack Spirit, Pack Chloro/Regen, Group Wolf Form.

Of course now everyone and their dog has group spells, and really from a large raid standpoint I shudder to think of doing individual buffs again (anyone remember all the guides about how to efficiently buff for naggy/vox without your buffs wearing off before engagement? :) ) Group spells may be a convenience, but they're a BIG convenience in most cases.

Just another bit of our "uniqueness" that's been eroded away imho :/

I just look at the comparison of regen per tick to avg player hp in kunark and then look at what it is now and laugh.
