They keep saying, "We never said that!" when talking about various things they said that EVERYONE has seen on the Internet, or TV. The latest one is the phrase "Stay the Course", which we've heard endlessly since the Iraq war turned South; not long after Cheney said something about the insurgency in the lasts throes -- which he later denied saying, but there's video evidence to the contrary.

So Tony Snow says, "we only said it 8 times"!

It's gotten so I can't tell the lies any longer from the sheer idiocy. Surely they can't believe people are THAT stupid? Haven't they caught on yet that everything they've said publicly is recorded in digital, easy to find format and can regurgitated it in a few minutes?

Maybe they just don't remember. Normal people don't tabulate and index their daily word count. Only e-liberals with a lot of time and anger on their hands do.

That's beacuse it has worked for them for so long. Just like the WMD's and Rumsfeld. "We know where they are..." then "We never said we knew where they were, we knew where suspect sites were" (not an exact quote but damn close)

Oh, puleeeze. They're politicians -- not only do they track their daily word count, they hire consultants to help them with it and to find ways to do it more effectively.

Most people, rightly, consider that their Executive Branch lying is of significance. Ole' Bill was impeached for his lie. It is this..malaise which has seeped into the electorate where they have become so jaded they no longer care about right vs. wrong and any manner of integrity from their elected officials...and so our elected officials have simply abandoned that pesky concept.

Its a self-fulfilling prophecy.
