when I /camp back to the server select screen, my mouse locks almost every time. if I push shift-alt-R it unlocks it, but it's still annoying. any idea why this is happening? the problem started when I installed Windows XP.

btw... first post, w00t! :p

I get a lock up at the accept decline page - if I click my mouse once it unfreezes the mouse.. not sure if this is related but will be reporting these findings from others also.

/agree

Getting mouse lockup as well on both my EQ computers. Not to mention "Bazaar" zone on Quellious has crashed at least 7 times over Easter Weekend (keep having to relog in my trader).

aye this is becoming a major issue since last patch:/
bazaar crashing on Emarr as well , only thing is when u go LD into 1018 or bazaar crash some ppl have lost items and GM's refuse to replace them stating that there is no record .
I really feel this is an issue they need to pay more attention to.

The mouse release command doesn't work for me, though...I have tried it.

To release my mouse I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the Quittask window (which is beneath my game session but flickers in the background). I think wildly swing my pointer around the screen clicking randomly until suddenly I am back in the game session and the mosue pointer is released.

I don't question why it works...I just accept that it does. The alternative is to hit the computer reset button, reset my modem, and rinse and repeat (sometimes as much as 3 or 4x) before suddenly EQ decides it does know I have a mouse afterall.

Very frustrating.

Try right-clicking to thaw out a frozen mouse. Seems to work for me.

Works for me too.

Make sure you aren't playing in window'd mode. Alt+Shift+R is the actual combination that was made to release the mouse from EQ so that you can use it in Windows, when you are in window'd mode. If that is the key combo you have to use to get your mouse up, seems logical that you are in window'd mode. It might be hard to tell if you are or not. Recently my entire EQ window went big on me. Less screen area, so everything is bigger. Now when I switch to window'd mode, it is kinda hard to tell it's there unless you pay attention. The EQ window now actually takes up most of the screen.

If it happens again and you are not playing EQ in a window, and using Alt+Shift+R is the only way to get your mouse to work, then trying hitting Alt+Enter just in case. That is the command to switch EQ from a window to full screen.

Sobe, I have the same problem as you with the freezing at accept/decline. It is a relatively new problem too.
