A federal judge has ruled that COPA (http://ibtimes.com/articles/20070322/internet-blocking.htm) was an unconstitutional infringement on free speech.
The Supreme Court had partially ruled on a the matter, before, stating that the "community standards" portion of the law was not unconstitutionally broad. They also, however, had upheld a 2004 temporary injunction against the law citing a likelihood that it would eventually be struck down. It, thus, seems unlikely that the decision will be overturned, but one can never tell.
Huzzah for the good guys for once.
