OK, I've heard a lot of things and a lot of theories about softcaps to 150, hardcaps to 100, one cap on 100 and nothing past.... what have you on avoidance.

Anyone KNOW definatively what the story is?

I'm not sure what else you're looking for here. You can tell that it's capped at 100 by noting the effect on displayed AC. Avoidance over 100 will not change your displayed AC, while avoidance up to 100 will.

I keep hearing about avoidance being soft capped to 150, but no one I hear it from has any proof of this, they just say they "heard" it.

I've heard this from dozens of people in my guild over the years and was hoping someone could confirm or disprove it.

AFAIK the avoidance cap via gear is 100. Period, end of story. Now if u mean in practice, other things can affect the amount of times you get hit / don't get hit, such as tanking aas, max agility, shaman avoidance buff, etc.

Guarantee Avoidance is capped at 100 - the cap numbers have been posted by a dev some place and are fairly well known now. None of these mod2s have a softcap of any kind, Combat Effects (100), Accuracy (150), Shielding etc.

I'll have to test but, I think avoidance will affect displayed AC. Displayed AC is a combination of Avoidance and Mitigation - why Agi going up pushes displayed AC up.
