While I was doing the 1.5 druid fight in South Karana, I accidentally looted one of the Crystal Fragments on my other character. I waited again until midnight and nothing happened. I waited 12 hours and tried again, and still nothing happened. Is there any way to fix this by repeating a step but not doing the whole 1.5 over again? I /petitioned but haven't heard from them yet.

I didn't kill them fast enough and only looted some of them on one of my first tries. You just have to destroy all the crystals and go back and get the hasty note again.
