Pixar has really outdone themselves this time. The underwater imagery was very believeably done. More so than any other animated movie taking place underwater. The Little Mermaid comes to mind.

The detrius floating in the water, the shafts of light flickering about the coral reef, the constant sway of plants, and the bright colors of the reef are simply amazing. I really felt like I was underwater when watching this movie.

The story starts out with the main character, Marlin, a colorful clown fish, is showing off the new home, an anemone, to his wife. A mean, nasty fish eats all the little eggs Marlin and Coral had laid. All of them but one, leaving Marlin alone with just that one fish-egg he names Nemo after the last wishes of his wife.

This causes Marlin to become VERY overprotective of his only son and in the end causes the long journey Marlin undergoes to save his son. To Find Nemo.

Some notable moments are Dory, the bluefin fish and her constant short term memory loss. It's done quite well and not overdone at all. Something that made me cry was the scene with Marlin where she tells him that when she looks at him, she feels like she's home. And then he swam away, leaving her there, alone and once again suffering from that memory loss problem.

I felt really bad for Dory and even though I knew it would work out to a happy ending I still was sad at that moment. I don't know why, but animated movies seem to push at my emotions far more than any other kind of movie.

In conclusion, GO SEE THIS MOVIE. And be sure to stay for the credits. It doesn't have outtakes or bloopers, just some neat stuff and a cameo from another Pixar motion picture.
