Anyone have this problem?

I'm on a cable connection. When I access certain threads I get a popup dialup connection dialog box and when I click to cancel that, IE sets me to offline mode. My cable connection never drops during this time.

I can click back to online mode and continue, but it's only certain threads that do it. Right now the Jahaar thread about Luclin ports is doing it to me.

Anyone know what's causing this?

You may have something messed up in your IE configuration, in that IE thinks it needs to dial into a network. Go to Tools->Options->Connections, and make sure there are no dial-up connections listed.
