I promise I have read all of the guides I can find on raptors, yet I am still not sure if I can do these guys or not. I am lvl 52 with 197 unbuffed wis (about 213 or so with c3). I ALWAYS have c3 when I solo ..

I have printed out the map and read about snaring the roamers before beginning the blasts. I do not have any ES vambs or anything clicky. I am also paranoid about about getting gobbled up by a bunch of raptors.

Can I take the small island with c3?? I really don't wanna waste the money on the vambs if I don't have to and I don't want to die because I was ill-informed.

Yes, easily.

I'm 52 now with 208 unbuffed wis. I can easily take raptors with or without c3, so you should have no problem. As for getting killed by raptors, if you keep levitate up at all times there is really no danger of that; just run off over the water if something goes wrong. With c3 you should be able to take the small island and maybe occasionally pick off a couple extra on the large island with charm while waiting for the small to reset.

Thanks for the reassurance :-) I can take the small pretty easilly and have a bit of mana left. Couldn't find the roamer till the end, and was able to root/dot him without ES vambs. Woo hoo, glad to have finally given it a go!

I'll be leveling again in no time :D
