Ok, I have a friend with white dragonscale boots, who is leaving the game. I know you can turn them in and get white dragonscale helm, which is dropable. What im wondering is, can anyone confirm if you can turn the helm in to get sword back again (aka, do the items go in a cycle)?

As far as I know, that is doable, yes.

(Only second hand information though, not tried it myself)

No you cant. if you could that would in theory mean white dragonscale boots are sellable if the buyer and seller has the correct faction. Seller has WDSB, turns in for helm, gives helm to buyer, buyer cycles through back to the boots. Well im not 100% sure but it makes sense to me =)

I have yet to see a definite yes or no answer on this but I highly suspect that the answer is yes you can. Part of the reasoning is simply that I haven't seen a confirmed answer one way or another, as if nobody wants it confirmed and then nerfed. The other thing that leads me to this is that I've seen a couple people on my server with more plat than skill who are perma-guildless with white dragonscale boots.

I can't confirm that the answer is, in fact, yes but I suspect that it is and the few people who know for certain are just being very quiet about it

The answer to your question is absolutely YES. I have done this myself and I just guided a cleric in my guild to Yeli to do the same thing, 3 days ago.
He bought a helm in the bazaar specifically to turn it in, I had the boots on my mage that I turned in for the helm and transferred to my druid, then exchanged it for the boots. Well you get the sword first then you give him the sword for the boots. You only need amiable faction.

It can be done.

I've never posted here and stuff, but the two people that have confirmed that you can do this do you have links to guild web pages or anything. Just would like to be srue of something like this, I just always thought you couldn't, even tho it doesn't really make sense why not, heh.

BTW for the record, this worked. Took my friends boots, made them into a helm, then i turned in helm for sword for boots =)

It just goes to show: you learn something new every day! I didn't realise this was the case; I can see a lot of boots being handed down to guild-members in the near future!
