I am a level 55 druid (of course). I have been doing raptors and charm kiting in Maidens Eye. Both are fairly effective, but are very slow. For the raptors I get maybe a 2% for the entire small island and maybe just a little more than that for large. By respawn and regen time, even with KEI this is only about 6 to 7 percent of a level per hour, which is a grind. ME is slightly better. Can probably get 8 to 9 percent in and hour, but is a lot more dangerous with trains and charm breaking, and if I lose my pet to an add death or something like that I gotta go find a new one and that takes time. I am trying to level up quick to raid higher end zones with my guilds. I have heard quadding in Katta Castelum is good, but I am not sure what are my targets. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

You should be able to charm in chardok at zone in or out.

Results found from charm kiting in PoD:

Diseased rats charmed easily enough and didn't move particularly fast. However, the charm broke very often I found. Much more often than I was finding it breaking from Spectral Wolves and Ravenous Beasts in Maidens Eye. I have a 105 charisma, using two steins when charm kiting, and I use glamour of Tunare to help increase duration. I am level 55 still. Am I trying this at too low a level? Please advise. Thanks.

You find charm kiting in ME at 55 to be too slow? Can't really think of a much better spot for charm kiting which in my experience is the fastest method.

Sometimes a partner in disease is a good thing. I tend to like a shaman, they have a pet for emergencies, they can heal and slow. When my charm breaks, I have a back-up.

But then, sometimes I enjoy living on the edge. You just never know with me.

Not sure if the level really has an influence on a charm duration. I can't tell if you are too low for PoD as I didn't start there before 61, but I would suspect those rats are the same level than the ravenous beasts in ME.

I sometimes have bad luck where charm will only stick for less than a minute for quite some time, but after a while, it equals out.

That is a very good CHA to have for charm kiting, well I would do what Elendiil (I hope it was him a couple posts above) says and grab a partner. Although when I charm kite, I am either doing it solo or partnered with my friend, we are like Silent Bob and J, always chillen together. That has been the best exp grinding in the game ever for me. Get a good friend to hunt with ya (druids > all just remember that), and you will soon be 60+.
