I tried thi last night expecting an easyish fight for a group of 61 level people and he was Lifetapping like a good'un which kind of peed on my parade:)

Is this random or has he been changed?

He lifetapped when I did this sometime last year for my epic. There is a rumor floating around that the spawned VS doens't lifetap, but believe me, he does.

Didn't LT for me.

Real VS LT's HARD I've killed him a half dozen times or more but the Triggered? nope.

Maybe sometimes the wrong one spawns? ;)

I don't know what to tell you there, but I have been there on several occasions including for my own epic, and the spawned one does lifetap and does only drop the 2 stones for the epic. I spawned him myself from the remains, I was in the MA group, I saw the lifetaps that the MA was getting, I heard about it, etc etc.

I can't make you believe me, but yet I can only say that it has happened.

Same here the spawned one was lifetapping for 1500 a pop.

I think there must be two versions of the spawned one although both seem to drop the two stones.

I spawned this one myself so I know he was spawned, was a shock to see him start LTing the tank:)

Killed him three days in a row last month and none of them lifetapped took him with about 12 50s (mostly low and mid) people easy. Had a 57 ranger MA and was really not very hard at all. I was main healer on last try ( 58 at the time ) and we had no deaths.

VS, Nortlav the Scalekeeper, any of the big LT type mobs have always had a bit of history where they did LT, they didn't LT, they aggro'd the enchanters just for rune-ing the MA, they didn't aggro the chanters..

Just sounds like VSR is just as whacked.

MY VSR, we had 2+ groups, 1 MA, I turned in Globe, I had MA turn in Spell so he was closest and got first aggro.. We beat him down, 2 stones, zero deaths.

My warrior has been the MT on 3 spaned VS fights. Got tapped during all three fights.

'Tapped yesterday, but only twice. Aftert that he was nice and quiet and went down quickly. A ranger died in first tap phase from being too close when he spawned.

The spawned VS can be goofy as hell. The first time I "spawned" him, somehow the REAL VS appeared. After a surprised wipe, we went back with more force and killed him...no epic pieces, but cobalt legs etc.
