Wondering , I am transfering servers in the next couple weeks, going to play with RL friends .

Can and how do i get my epic back if i can. Someone told me you can /petition for it.

as far as I know the only one who keeps epics are mages since it's a spell. Dunno g'luck on getting it though, I'd hate to have to camp that boring stuff again

Something I wondered was about keys.

Things such as VT key, ST, etc.

Yes, they're on your key ring also, but do you get them when you transfer or are they just present on your keyring but you lose the physical key?

What about things like the alternate key quests for POP flags like the bracer you get for the alternate COD or even your quintessnce of elements?

I recently helped a server transfer kill Faydedar if that answers your question :p

If you transfer to one of the Euro servers you keep all of your gear. If you transfer anywhere else you lose it all including epic :(

What about keys on the keyring? I'm sure the physical keys would be destroyed but would the 'keyring' still have the entries on it? I belive you keep your flags when you move so you might...

Forgot Stormhammer (Legends).

Keyrings/Flags transfer with you as far as I know.
You can try sending in a petition to at least get your epic back when you transfer, not 100% chance, but it's happened before, so it could be worth a shot.

When I transfered to Kane Bayle (Euro server) all physical items and cash were lost, and none were refunded. That seems to be the standard policy. So all gear (epic included unless you are a magician), all physical keys, EP god shields etc all vanish in the transfer. All skills are kept of course, as well as your flags and everything on your /keyring. (Don't forget to actually -zone- to VP, willya! :P )

UbiSoft servers (Sebilis, Venril and uhm, I forgot the last) and Stormhammar are different afaik.

(Note: Some GMs actually do refund epics on some servers according to rumors. However, the official policy (check out their transfer page) is that everything goes poff, so if I were you I wouldn't bank on it.)

Think at end of 2002 and beginning of 2003 for a period of 3 months or maybe 4 gm s were allowed to reimburse epics.

Happened to me with my cleric epic when i did petition for it and for several other peoples i knew personally.
(Was a big thread on Graffe s that did start the: asking for epic reimbursement wave.)

When i wanted to transfer another character with epic in April/May 2003 i was told from gm : change of politics, reimbursement no longer allowed.

My boyfriend and I transferred servers in November 2002. A friend on my current server actually hooked me up with someone who had done the druid epic over again ("for fun" - crazy people), so all I had to do was the foraging and run around to do the turn ins.

However, my boyfriend petitioned and got his wizard epic restored. But, that fits the timeline that Brog TP described.

I didn't have any flags at the time, but my keyring did transfer (and I have checked them all as well - they all work).

Being naked, however, sucks BIG TIME. It's amazing how much gear makes a character. =P

DId a server transfer clothes (went to Maelin from Karana) and everything on my keyring stayed there. KNow lots of people who lost epics though in transfers, they used to give them back, they dn't anymore though.

Maelin was a pay-to-transer at opening however.

Even though it would cost a few coins, couldn't you transfer to Stormhammer and then transfer to another server to keep your stuff?

Or can you only transfer back to your home server when you go to Stormhammer?

You can only transfer back to your original server from stormhammer. And you keep the items you got on stormhammer.

There is a way you can transfer dropable equipment to other servers by going through $tormhammer (which I wont mention here) but otherwise all equipment is lost and epics are no longer reimbursed.

I wonder if Sony woul be open to allowing transfers to keep their no drop gear only upon a transfer.

no drop gear would ruin the receiving servers economy, but would enable the person who transferred to at least have something rather than losing everything AND $50.

Of course you do have to draw the line somewhere. If they allowed for no drop gear, then someone would ask for plat, and someone else would ask for droppable items, even if at an extra fee.

Unless those items are from Plane of Time and don't exist yet on your home server.

They've gotten wise to those sorts of transfers. Lower level characters full of tradeable gear get their transfer rejected.

Make a monk, twink it and get a druid/shammy friend to help and you will be 50+ in a day ;)

There is also a way to transfer no drop stuff =)

Even if you wont have the no drop stuff on your char.

Tansfer your char to SH.
Wait one month
Die
Get a charrename
Create a char with your old name on the targetserver
Get a charmove to SH
Loot your corpse.

I don't understand why you can't have a special transfer package which allows you to transfer all your gear and bank crap - make it prohibitive, charge a bundle of money ($100-200) so that folks aren't moving all over - but make it possible for all servers.

Heck, even just all your gear would be worth it. I've transferred and been naked and I will never do that again. But I do wish that I could go to the server where the majority of my friends are with my main character.
