The venerable druid was nearing the peak of his career and sat by the big oak tree pondering his accomplishments.
"I have explored Norrath, the moon and the planes, and in doing so, I have gained vast amounts of experience in life.", he thought to himself. "But alas, I have foresaken my material needs. Even that little frog has more platinum than I have."
"What worth is my experience, if I cannot even afford to purchase the scrolls for spells which I am now capable of casting. For sure, to research them all one by one would never be accomplished before my death."
He stared at the crimson sky and the could now barely see the outline of the sun that was setting by the horizon ... trying to take back control of his fate. ...
