View Full Forums : Is radiant cure still somewhat bugged?

Playing around with spiders in PoD, Radiant cure 1 cured Atol's spectural shackles most of the time but one cast it didn't cure it at all (had no other dots/debuffs on me). Pulling forest giants the other night I got Malosini on me. One time RC1 cured it, another time it didn't. I'm also getting hit or miss Your target has been cured messages...sometimes I get the message, sometimes I don't. Is anyone else getting this type of thing?

Your target is cured messages is only given when you cure a spell with counters. As for removing deterimental spells, I always under the impression it was a % chance at removing them, if it's supposed to be 100%, then I guess it would qualify as somewhat bugged.

Pretty hit or miss for me on removing detrimental effects for me, didn't think it used to be like that. Pretty @#%$ stupid if it's supposed to work like that especially after we get the new combined poison/disease cure spell. It costs a ton of AA, it has a 3 flipping minute refresh and it barely removes any counters even at level 3. Give me a break, 95% of the reason you'd get the ability is to remove detrimental effects.

Even IF we get the new cure poison/disease, I like it due to the group remove curse, and the remove detrimental, with Radiant Cure 1, I probably have around 75% success rate on removing detrimental effects.

I have noticed in HoT that sometimes RC1 cures Acid Jet and other times it does not, even with two applications. Often tiems it cures 1 group member and not another.

Same issue that slow the green drakes cast ( name escapes me )

I have RC3, it's fairly often not doing anything when I click it. I'm not sure RC2, which I had for a relativly long time, was as bad as 3, as I said I didn't remember it being as unreliable as it is now.

If it says it is supposed to cure x number of counters, why is it so random now?

Oh, another example. I cured tunare's kitty guards silence on one group member, but not the other.

I have RC1.

My group was fighting in CoD, at the end of the fight I asked the guys who needed cures, we each had 1 detrimental spell on us. I cast radiant cure and everyone but me got cured!

Surely that should have cured me also?

What's a counter? Somebody needs to ask the dumb questions. )

It's random in removing poison/disease/curse counters? That I have NEVER seen. Random in removing detrimental yes, counters no.

Counters are a way to keep track of how hard a spell is to cure.

Like for instance, Grummus' plasma decay is 9 curse counters, one click of radiant cure will get rid of it for the whole group.

Where as Togor's Insects(39 shaman slow) is 12 disease counters, and level 1 radiant cure will not get rid of it in one click.

[Edit] A spell without disease/poison/curse counters can't be cured, but has to be dispeled. Which means you have to chance removing your buffs. This is where Radiant Cure comes in, allowing you to keep your buffs, well stripping the debuffs.

radiant cure removes time from debuffs ..

so if a debuff lasts 4 minutes and radiant cure removes 2 minutes from it, there is still 2 minutes left on the debuff

I've dispelled Malo almost immediately after it was cast on me using RC 1...
