Ok.. This is going to sound very stupid but Im curious :)

When I dinged 30 I went to the Druid trainer and trained Specialize: Evocation up to the max I could. Then I forgot about it. Now at 60 I can look at my skills and Specialize: Evocation is still at 50 where I stopped training it earlier. My question is: Why the hell wont it go up and how do I get it to go up?

It's fairly easy. Check the other specs.

It works like this:

At level 30, you put 1 point into each and all you had into evocation.

Now, the first spec that passes the skill of 50 will increase to 200, the other 3 will stop at 50.

My guess is, that one of the other specs raised to 50 bevor your evoc did. Training specs is done with spellcasting.

You can reset all your specs back to skill 49 with a quest in Solusek Temple.

Guess #2... you didnt train in all the others at all for spec.

You have to put a point in each one to allow the first one to 50 to be able to go over 50.

I am betting Ligge is correct as well. Made the same mistake for about a half of a level before I figured it out. Just make sure that the one that you actually want to be your main specialization is the first one to reach 51. If it is already to 50, it is really easy to get it to 51. Put one point into all of the other specializations, then cast a small spell a bunch that uses the skill you want your main specialization to be. If you have the wrong one go over 50 first, you can do a quest in the Temple of Solusek Ro...turn in a ruby, and it will reset them all to 50...if they were under 50 already, they will stay where they were.

actually the temple reset is to 49...long ago i accidently
got abj running as spec choice....did the quest and for some
reason it didnt work...............just redid at lev 58 (lol)...and
picked alt...which is now about 180..

Whooohoooo! Thank you very much...I did that and have been wondering what the hell is wrong with Evo...going to train at least one point in the rest...even talked to a GM but she said she couldn't give us spoilers =)
