Where or how does one get his/her hands on a pair of Xanthe's Earring of Nature or Earring of the Solstice? Just need to upgrade these darn forest loops I've been wearing for 20 levels. Also need to upgrade these Runed Mithril Bracers I've been wearing for even longer. Any ideas? Thanks

For the earrings...

Blessed Fishing Rod
Golden Idol of Tunare
Demi-sec Champagne
Lotus Pie
Misty Thicket Picnic
Lucky Cabbage
Ceremonial Solstice Robe
Mistletoe Cutting Sickle
Star Ruby Encrusted Stein

Combine in a forge, you'll get a spell and Xanthe's earring. This is a no-fail combine with no skill check (although oddly an RL friend got a skill raise to smithing on this combine, to skill 1)

Take Xanthes earring to Rebecca Cabbageleaf in Fungus Grove (don't worry about faction, she's very friendly), she'll give you the Solstice earring, then go back and combine a second set of those items for another Xanthe's earring and spell, destroy the second spell (its no drop).

Make sure you get the solstice earring BEFORE you do the second combine, or the second earring will poof (because it's lore)

For bracers, I'd suggest finding a friend to create the level 1 rallos worshipper required to do the coldain military wristguard quest (there's a walkthrough around here somewhere so I'm not going to repost it), as well as going to Karnors and killing the Warlord for a Supple Scale armband (called armband, but really a bracer). You'll need a little help for the warlord, he summons, but he's in the same area as the monk epic pipe spawn, and also drops a bard epic piece, so it shouldn't be too hard to either take a little group there to camp him, or get one rotting while another group camps it.

on Mith Marr, the approx cost of the gifts listed is between 9 and 11 k. Some ppl have been charging up to 13k.

That is for all 9 gifts.

Just an FYI, Rebecca Cabbageleaf is in the first building on your left when you zone into Fungus Grove. She's a little tiny halfing against the wall (/em feels the urge to find something to kick).

As for bracer, Elysians drop a pretty nice upgrade for your wrist slot. Doesn't have as much wisdom as the RMB, but has more mana, resists, and has some other nice stats. When I was farming/exping elysians I had about 8 rot, so they're not that uncommon.

What Kuolon forgets to mention is that the bracers are actually the crappiest part of the Elysian set (the gloves are debatably worse, I wouldn't know, they both suck imo).

I know the going price of RMBs is still around the 1k range on my server. If he were to get the Elysian bracer and sell the RMB, that would be another 1k or so in the pocket to spend on other upgrades. Yes, the bracer and gloves aren't that admirable, but if they give more mana, more stats, and have some resists I don't see what would make them so crappy if they were compaired to a RMB.

Not to mention you can also upgrade some other slots while killing the Elysians, thus giving more profit to you when you decide to sell your old gear or maybe make a little newb happy to get a pair of Gatorscale Leggings or something.

I was more saying that by killing elysians the real benefit would be in the legs/bp/boots/etc than bracers/gloves.

Supple Scale Bracer (or is it armband? Check my magelo..hehe)....
no drop, common as hell in KC.. and last I remember (its how I got mine) people /OOC it rotting all over the place.
Range III is very nice if you are under 60 (or using 60 and below spells) great for soloing to keep your distance. = )

It's called "Supple Scale Armband" but it's a bracer.

I went around and started collecting the 9 gifts for the earrings, thanks for the replies btw, and found that on my server, the average cost of all nine is 5600pp. And thats with a little shopping at the bazaar. Too bad I only have 4500pp, =). Where's a good place to make some solid money with a little exp? I've been trying out those elysians, thinking to replace my legs/bp/head and selling the ones I have for a bit o' cash.

Assuming you mean solo hunting, Geonid caves in WL are pretty good. Everything will be blue, not too tough and single pullable. None of them see invis. Use your resist buffs and a little resist gear for fighting the shamans.

They drop cash gems, both JC-type and psuedo-velious-quest-type. They also drop the cash jewelry (mithril amulet, etc). Finally, they drop the velious quest gems, which can be sold in the Bazaar for about 100pp each, eventually ;P, or for 45ish pp each to vendors.

You could probably clear 300-400pp an hour in there.

For some nice quick cash I would recommend either the Othmir dudes in CS (at your level you should be able to single pull, but still have to harmony the named dudes) or this nice little place that no one knows about. The ogre city, Throbb I think, is nice for making some fast cash. They drop items, gems, FS weaps, shields, and these necklace things that sell pretty well. You could easily make 300pp/hour there. Although they are a bit resistant to MR, the cash far outweighs the hassle.

If you plan on doing the Ogre city, make sure you empty as many slots as possible to carry all the stuff. If you would like some suggestions on how to pull the mobs and which ones to pull, send me a Private Message. I hate seeing all the good cash spots given away due to someone scouting the boards for ideas, then setting up camp at them for hours on end.

I saw the gifts going for approx 4500pp the other day on Morell Thule. I need to break down and get one of these hehe. Just been to lazy to buy them.
