Greetings fellow Druids,


I'm a long-time lurker here, I've browsed the boards for several months now but this is the first time I post here, because I am in need of an advice on a secondary item.


I actually wear the Prelate's Lantern from CT (everquest.allakhazam.com/...tem=12090) (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12090)) and I want to switch to the Orb of the Infinite Void (everquest.allakhazam.com/...tem=4792). (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=4792).)


But my Magelo profile say I'll lose mana, and that's not actually my goal, 'cause I got 3860 mana and I raise to raise it at 4000 at least. But the +15 wis on the Lantern is pretty useless because I (almost) always have KEI on when I'm playing, so my WIS is capped at 265 (I'm actually lvl 62).


So I want to know, do you think it is fair enough to spend 30-35k on the Orb and do you think I'll gain mana when I'm KEI'ed ?

I'd go with the Orb, but I'm a hp/ac minded person. rarely do I run out of mana before I run out of life :)

I'd go with the OoIV as well. It easy to get wis back up with KEI/C4 or even stat food and drink.

My vote is OoIV.

30-35k is an awful lot to spend.
The 35 ac rocks and its a nice upgrade. I'd say go for it if you were using a stone buckler or something, but I always look at cost vs upgrade. Not the absolute value of the item when deciding (this does for spending guild DKPs as well)

You didnt post a magelo profile, so cant see, but maybe you should get FT3 boots or a PoTC quest earring first?
Until PoP, I wore my Fungi, so that's another option.

8k horse for the standing mana regen is also nice.

(1) HP/FT/Focus effect
(2) Mana/AC
(3) Wis/Sta/Resists

That's how I choose.
Hell maybe you are rich, then go for it.
But look at your other slots too.

I agree, 30-35k is a lot for a common drop from a mob which is always up (at least on my server), can be single pulled (if the faction is right) and only requires one group (or less)...

How can you single that mob to a safe spot for the KoS people ? I heard many rumors about it, and I ain't sure it's possible... You mean, you can single Keldor from his deep room in the King Area to where ? Do you need one or two FDers ? I parked an Ogre to Keldor spot, but I just don't understand where and how you can single him to a Kael-KoS group... :)

OoIV is the only way to go. Mob easy pull especially with a non KoS monk.
