I just made a druid which i have gotten to 10. I need to know what weapons a druid can use. I really have no idea what to buy or even look at. Can someone help me with this? My druids name is Silverbells. So if anyone sees me on line drop me a tell on this subject.

I don't think there is really a right answer to this. However, keep in mind a couple things. As you age, you will not be meleeing so much. Also, the druidic epic is a 1hs.

Heheh. I porcupined until my druid was well into the 40s. That includes swinging the old weapon around.

As for druid weapons, you just gotta go the Bazaar and do a search for druid weapons. I can't tell you what to get because I don't know what kind of budget you have.

Honestly.

For example, I used a black enamelled mace, a runed falchion, a screaming mace, lowbie scimitars back in the day to keep up slash and blunt. These days you could probably find a blunt weapon like a Springwood Club for very little money. Another one is Dark Ember. Heck, I've given away as much to others.

You just have to check the Bazaar until you see something for your price range. And the melee stuff...blah...I maxed both blunt and slash, and while it's true you won't melee much later, you can still melee in porcupining for a good while. So keep your melee skills in check.

well, depending on how much you have to spend you can go with a good 1hb with wis and good damage or you can go with a 1hs with no wis and ok stats. The druid epic is (as stated before) a 1hs, but the problem is that unless you have a lot of plat or a friend to buy one for you a 1hs with good stats, dmg and wis is going to be hard to find for less then 4kpp (depending on your server) while a good 1hb with wis can be found for less then 1kpp.

You can also go to www.eqprices.com and do a search for items and stats to see what the names of things are and then check the bazaar to see if any are avail on your server.

I was 1hb at 10 because there weren't any cheap 1hs at all... I could get MUCH better 1hb... not any more.

I just bought a X-uber 1hs (silver scimitar) for 10pp at the bazaar. When I was young it was VERY EXPENSIVE... I love the bazaar... makes all my old hardware worthless... I lost about 1k value of all my items the day the bazaar came out... of course that GREAT for twinks and newbs

I would not worry about stats on the weapons as another poster mentioned. Though you will not melee as much at very high levels, it can still be quite useful until then.

I picked one melee skill (1hs in my case) to work on. With the weapons we have to choose from and not having much time to melee it was too hard trying to keep up with both. I work on 1hb and 2hb now if I'm in a group and have too much mana. I completely ignored my 2hb so that I could carry a shield. If you can afford it try and get a weapon that is Magic. Otherwise there may be some mobs that you cannot even hit. Otherwise whatever has the best damage ratio and you can wield. There are some nice claws that look very cool in the bazaar on 7th hammer for 25pp. This might be a bit much for you now, but something to think about.
