I'm 41 and have 1k in the bank and making a few k per level by xp grinding at the dwarfs in BB.

Anyway, I'm have my equipment how I like it for a bit (until I can get a lumstaff... then I will need a spell casting hast focus item)... But I digress.

Whats the price you can do the PoTC quest for these days? I would love 2 earring upgrades and 1 extra mana per tic will DEFINATELY be worth it.

I've heard of people doing it for 2k. But they did a few of their own items. But I'm a cook, but not ready to go the extra steps to get past 142 right now (hate looking for brownie parts)

So if I buy all the items at the bazaar. What would be expected? Also, I only have kunark and luclin. Do I need the other expansion to do it?

thanks

The full kit is selling for 15k nowadays on my server, which is about as much as it costs to buy the components separate. Only problem is that the kit makers buy out all of the reasonably priced pieces that show up in the bazaar (except the baked stuff, which is way cheap anyways because it's flooded the market)

If you're just going to buy finished products, expect to pay between 7.5K and 15K depending on your local economy.

I just bought a full set for 10,800pp on Tunare server I could have gotten it about 800pp cheaper but didnt want to run around bazaar buying all the items individualy so just payed 800pp extra to the person for saving me time. If you look at how much each item costs individually it will usally be cheaper than buying the whole set at once.

Best estimate if you BUY all the gifts (from my server, so you need to compare with prices on yours):

Lowest I've seen in the Bazaar:
Demi-Sec Champagne 200pp
Mistletoe Cutting Sickle 2700pp
Golden Idol of Tunare 1000pp
Blessed Fishing Pole 1200pp
Star Ruby Encrusted Stein 1300pp
Ceremonial Solstice Robe 2750pp
Lotus Pie 50pp
Misty Thicket Picnic 100pp
Lucky Cabbage 50pp

I got both earrings for a bit less than 20 k total I think, so around 9 - 10 k plat each. Ironically most of this money came from selling raw ingredients people use to make the items I bought, like spider silk I sold at 5 plat a piece ( love those hidden items you buy out on vendors..)

On tribunal the lowest price I saw to regular average on the main money items in the bazaar is:

Misty sickle 2400 - 3 k plat

Golden idol of tunare 2250 to 3k plat (WISH i'd had 2250..)

Blessed fishing pole always around 1 k plat

Star ruby stein 700 plat to 1 k plat

Ceremonial solstice robe 2700 - 3k plat.

The food type items are basically cheap as heck.

Thanks!

I was hoping that all the other items came down in price similar to the baking ones... :(

guess I will have to wait a few levels.

thanks

"( love those hidden items you buy out on vendors..)"

Apparently, they are changing both PC (bazaar) and NPC vendors so that 80 items will be visible in the purchase window =) That will make vendor mining a WHOLE lot easier!!

Now if they would only add a /bazaar command for every zone, so you could see what was for sale in a given zone ;P

Regarding prices, on 7th, the robes and sickles are actually going up in price because nobody seems to be actively making them.

Do you use /trader to sell them? Cause I never see any for sale. And always lots of people advertising to buy.

Anyway, good job Littlun, keep em coming =)

And at 7kpp per robe, I may start making them again, too!

Do Patty Melts:

Recipe = Meat + Cheese + Loaf of Bread + Non-stick frying pan. Comine in Oven/Spit

Lion/Bear and Wolf Meat all work. Cheese is bought from vendor in Jaggedpine.

Will take you all the way to 191.

I've been out of town and didn't get to make any for a bit :) .

I tried at 6k last night for a while to match the other vendor, and sold 0 (neither did she unless she refilled). After a couple of hours I put it to 4k and all 4 went in under an hour. One of the 250 tailors I was chatting with said the same thing. 4k seems a fair price. 6k seems high, and they DO sell, just not as quickly. Since neither of us can leave mules up 24/7, it's volume, volume, volume!!

They are just kind of a drag to make, but I'm saving up for a fungi tunic for my monk and then some slimy boots for myself. But since I can't imbue the emeralds it's tough, and farming silk is just boring!!! It's almost the only green farming I've ever done and I don't much like it :) . Not to even mention making all those darn essences!! I got so annoyed waiting for jewelers to make chains that I just went and spent some time getting a baby chanter to 241 (so far) jewelcraft so that I can make my own.

I don't really use the robes for skilling up, but for raising plat to buy stuff to skillup, and to hopefully buy my 2 new toys that I'll possibly never get a chance to loot.

I think I've finally got some guildmates realizing that they should do this quest, so a portion of my robes will go there, and to trade for sickles.

Good luck!!

Littlun.

Just do a search in the bazaar from time to time for each of the gifts... I just bought two complete sets for about 18k on Xev. 9k a pop for those earrings is a bargain I think.

On Bertoxx the full set to buy would be 10 - 12k.

I did the whole thing for like 6-7k, but then again I made the fishing pole and lucky cabbage myself.

I got my fishing up to about 150 and then bought a tinkered pole in the bazaar which added 5% to my skill. I lucked out on my first combine that night and switched the tinkered pole over to the new one I had just done.

I made three more after that in three attempts so I guess Karana was looking out for me that day.

I'm glad to say I got 'cabbaged' last night =D

ps. Wisdom was 208 at the time of attemtps

On trib the best prices are at very odd times, like 5 am eastern time. That time yesterday I saw golden idol for from

2200 plat to 4500 plat.

Today at 2 pm I only saw one at 2600 plat. Bunches of people might put this stuff on a vendor at night while they sleep. If you check prices while YOU are on at a sensible hour, you'll only see the higher ones is my guess.

I was fishing but my skill is only up to 46 now.. ahha.

I went to Bazaar and ran a search on the items and added all the lowest prices on them and came up with a 10k figure for 1 earring from the PotC quest. This is for Bristlebane Server.
Damn I'll never get those earrings :(

Ciao for now!

I managed to get everything I need for my PotC earrings except for the two mistletoe cutting sickles for 4k per earring... not bad, eh =P I did get some really good deals on most of the items (I spent two weeks just sitting in the bazaar buying/selling) though I have recently found demi-secs selling for 200pp each (doh). The lucky cabbages were simple to make, and I could've made the lotus pies and misty thicket picnics if I wanted as I have 191 in baking, but since lucky cabbages were 200pp and the other two were 50pp I decided I would just buy them. The golden idols took me a while - I gathered enough materials to make three, and the guildie failed on one at 240 skill but kept the glaze as payment (she was going to keep the third idol if she succeeded as payment). The most expensive thing to get for the idols are the iron oxides, which sell for 500pp in the bazaar - a little merchant mining, help from someone who was controlling the spawn (lol) and buying from a newbie got me the three I needed for the glaze. Permafrost crystals also sell high but were easier to get. So, if I manage to find mistletoe cutting sickles for 2k each, I'll have gotten my two earrings for 12k =P If you have a friend or know guildies who are grandmasters in trade skills, it makes the quest a LOT cheaper. My server is mith marr btw =P

Blessed Fishing Rods: 1k each
Ceremonial Solstice Robes: 2k each
Star Ruby Encrusted Steins 300pp each
Demi-Sec Champagnes 300pp each
Lotus Pies 50pp each
Lucky Cabbages (I made 'em)
Misty Thicket Picnics 50pp each
Golden Idols of tunare (made by a guild member, cost of items to make each was about 300pp)

got all of the stuff I needed in the bazaar for about 9kpp total. Could have saved money if I would have waited and hand Guild members make some of the things for me. Most expensice items were the robe, and sickle. If you don't have friends / guild members to make you the items take a few days or weeks to watch the bazaar for the lowest prices. I could have saved about 1k to 2k if I would have spent a few days or more waiting for the lowest prices on stuff. Then again, I can make more than that by spending 2 days in someplace like Seb or chardok. hehe

Prices are for Veeshan btw.
