This is something I'ld like to see SoE implemented in some distant future expansion... The ability for player characters to turn into quest givers. It shouldn't be too tough, afterall all NPCs just respond to two actions, someone saying certain keywords or someone handing certain items to the quest giver. Make it like being in /trader mode in the bazaar, except that /quest mode works in any city zones and pops up a ui for players to add action triggers. This ui should also log and show which players has triggered what actions.

It would add a lot of roleplay fun to the game or simply as a utility for us tradeskillers who want certain farmed items. :)

"Hail, Iilane."

"Pleased to meet you Aesi, I am Iilane Sal`Alur, a master tailor of some repute. I am have come back to Kelethin seeking the guidance of our craftmasters in order to further my tailoring skill. Would you like to [help] me?"

"I will help you"

"Heartwood Master requires me to produce some Tunarean armor for Kelethin's fight against the maurading orcs of Crushbone. I have gathered sufficient sabretooth tiger skins for the endevour but alas I am having great difficulty finding Morning Dew required in making these armor. I would be very greatful if you can forage some of these Morning Dew for me. Naturally, I'll pay for your services. How does 10pp for each foraged Morning Dew sound?"

/gives Morning Dew

"Iilane gladly takes the Morning Dew and carefully places it in her packs. Thank you, Aesi. As promised, here is your reward."

You recieve 10pp from Iilane.

Supposedly a feature of EQ2, or at least similar. They talked about some sort of ampithereter thing you could rent for various purposes and I think that was one of them though I can't remember for sure.

Wouldn't it be just a little too easy to set up a 'prostitute' character with rather lewd quests?

In theory we can do that anyway, after all we can type any messages we want into /say, /shout, /ooc, etc. But still I have a hunch some overworked GMs would find this idea... troublesome. If too many people try to get right to the edge of what's allowed, it could become a big timesink for GMs.
