Which planes contain druid wearable armor? I recently reached planes level and went to Hate last night. Nothing for us there it seems. I'm going on a raid of Fear tomorrow, is there anything there for me. Thanks for the help.

Vermiculated Armor is the druid armor and it does indeed drop in Fear. Drops of the gorgons.

Harmony armor drops from second floor Hate, but it is pretty rare.

That's an understatement. I've seen 1 piece of harmony armor drop on about 20 trips to the 2nd floor and that was early on when it first started dropping.

Don't forget that although Umbral Plains is not really an alter plane, the druid armor (Elysian) that drops there is better than Fear's and Hate's (in my opinion).

Or take those Fear/Hate raids to Kael and start working on SoV armor.

Hate/Fear armor is simply sub par to anything Velious has to offer (except thurg). I know hate armor is technically SoV armor, but it's still sub par to Kael/SS armor or even Elysian. I'd forget the planes altogether, and work on my SoV faction to get my armor. Fear armor simply just doesn't compare, but the bracer is the only thing I'd wear (and I do). If you want AC go for Kael armor. Resists, Skyshrine. as for Vermi, well....... I don't have mine any more... =) (http://www.yabokhan.com/gifts.jpg)

Harmony isn't *that* rare. Yes, it's rare. But I know plenty of people with a piece or two. You aren't likely to get a full suit, in fact the only person on my server that I even know of to have tunic and leggings is in my guild. But if you go up there, you may end up with a piece or two. I have the arms, which is pretty funny next to my elysian everything else. I get all sorts of comments about my set up. Everything from "God that's terrible about your arms" to "Do you shop at K-Mart?"

We had 4 pieces of Harmony drop in 4 hours this weekend.

Not sure thats its substandard to Thurgadin armor, its pretty much the same and doesnt cost any gems. :)

Druid wearable armor comes from all the planes currently.
Hate 2nd floor has Harmony armor
Fear has Vermiculated from the Gorgons
Growth has non-druid specific, but all/all or dru/rng items
Mischief has Twisted Nature (stupid nerfed!)
Umbral has Elysian

Of them all, Fear definately has the best drop rate - usually a clearing of the gorgons will yeild at least two pieces if not more. Umbral comes in as a very close second, and the mobs are soloable (just gotta watch your proximity aggro). Growth is mediocre, just depends on your luck, and how much of PoG you're clearing. Hate comes in second to last with several full clearings of the 2nd floor being reported with no drops at all. Others report several drops in one outting. Mischief comes in last place as the rarest number of drops - since all PoM armor is quest related, and since the card drop rate was severely nerfed, you'll probably not see any Twisted Nature coming into play anytime soon.

Haunted chest in Hate, can drop fear items as well as hate items.
So there is a very minimal chance, that they will drop vermiculated stuff.

Screw vermiculated, there is other class / dru wearable armor that is better and you can get yourself. Vermiculated is total crap. Crystal Chitin arms and gloves, coldain skin boots and gloves, gladiator chain sleeves and greaves, froglok helm, supple scale armband (wrist), coldain military bracer, the only piece of vermic that is decent to wear all the time is the chestplate, crystal chitin is better and drops of the same mob every time. Even Elder Spiritist is better.

Tho...you ARE a druid and you probably want to go to fear a few times to try to collect some vermic just so you can say you did, i know i had a full suit before kunark then i gradually progressed as the new expansions came out, but there IS better stuff out there.

Otherwise, the only thing vermic is good for is for resists (arms, greaves).

Elysian armor as has been mentioned is superior to Fear, Hate and Thurg armor (RoTG on the BP and drones on the bracer are the exceptions). Even if you plan on acquiring a full set of SS or Kael armor there is no reason for you to not go out and get yourself a set of Ely gear right now and then just replace the pieces with quest armor as you get them.

The above is the route I went . About 4 moths ago I took a few days to camp in UP for the armor and then 25 HoT raids later I finished replacing my armor with SS quest and bagged the Ely for situation uses. The thing to keep in mind with the SS armor is that leather drops in HoT are rare, I lucked out last week and finished off my set of SS armor when I was the only leather wearer at a HoT raid and legs, arms, boots and a helm dropped.

I had copied this link from a prior post on The Grove (sorry I can’t find the original post), it’s a summary of 24 HoT raids with both the type of armor (plate, chain, leather, silk) and the slot. After spending a few months farming HoT I’d have to agree with the this statistical breakdown.

home.earthlink.net/~biton...ummary.htm (http://home.earthlink.net/~bitonti/tov_summary.htm)

For the 24 raids documented there were 2 leather bp drops, that's the same number that my guild has had total for the HoT raids that I participated in.

/sniff

I loved my Vermi stuff...got me out of a foreman's tunic and gator legs...depends where you are with raiding, your levels and your guild. Guilds that can do Fear may not be able to do ToV or Umbral yet.

AND it looks cool.

As long as you have someone that knows how to pull the Elysian Remains a guild that is capable of doing Fear (and I mean being able to handle the plane without several TPWs) should be able to farm the Ely armor with 1 group.

Convincing your guild mates that they should go to UP just to farm druid armor may be an issue but in my case we had no problems once we posted the armor stats to our internal message boards.
