Everything being equal, time played to acquire loot, difficulty of encounter (scaled to challenge a group rather than raid), should a group be able to acquire raid-quality loot?

One thing I dont think most you take into account is that the level of time a casual gamer puts in is never going to be the kind of time a hardcore raider puts in. It just doesn't work out that way. That's why they're CASUAL gamers. You have to understand how much time people put into hardcore raiding. You have to put in time to develop your character (65 + AA's (notice here not AA's that benifit you but benifit your guild, ie. MGB, SoTW, ect...) Then you have to prove yourself to your guild (App time, key timesinks, backflagging) Then you have to build up your DKP (in pure DKP's that's about 2 mos with no loot) Now your finally looking at getting some decent loot. So I just spent 3-4+ months at 6+ hours a day 5-6+ days a week. And now I'm finally going to get loot. So yes if make casual gamers take 480 hours of gaming/grouping what ever before they see their 1st piece of good loot then they get a new peice every 200 hours or so after that. Then sure give them great gear, until then No it just wont be fair.

No, raiding for whatever reason should be rewarded better than a group always.

Raiding in it self demands more people and more than not more time to acomplish, so it should always have better rewards.

the reward for raiding is UBER items.. ( and flags of course )
you only get a chance at getting them but way better than you could ever do solo.

can't see my soloing Grummus, RZ, LMM, TT (well might be close on TT tehehe )
