All this anti - halfling sentiments around these boards, and others.

"no drood halflings in our super duper cool uber guild"

This is too often the site around these days.. And its becoming acceptable.

Even politically correct characters now seem to consider it acceptable to laugh at "halfling throwing jokes" or a "if you didn't have teeth and a flat head" jokes.

These are unacceptable and continue the negative stereo types of our little worm and cuddly friends.

Also... Dr00d (or Dr00dz or any other mispellings). Please stop. This is another way to make the Druid culture seem to be superfisial. Something for the stoned generation-X sociaty. I will @#%$ Dr00d as the 'D' word from now on, in that I consider it to be a classest slur and HIGHLY distasteful!

Where did all these sentements come from? Well... Looking back a few years, when I first started my little Druid (notice the spelling). Halflings where considered one of the classes of choice. Great starting stats. Great starting zones. Great starting quests. Everyone was nice. Everyone thought I was sweet. Everyone wanted to stroke my foot hair...ahh... never mind....

A few years later... It seems like the stereo typical 'D''s started showing up in droves. Kiting was in... Grouping and helping others where out. Why did they come? It could have been a free account that came in the back of a PC-magazine. Yes, they hit a new market group. I don't know the exact numbers... But initially the upscale, good moral folk like you* and I, had at 93.5% of the market share. After this point, it was quickly dropped down to 48.1%. This number continued to drop when EBay became popular. And again when EBay removed sales of items and characters adding a new Warez'y feeling to the scene.

This continued with anti-halfling rallies.. And even some anti-halfling legislation being passed... YES, thats right! ANTI-HALFLING laws where being passed left and right.

The first was Halas. This used to be a big favorite to many Halflings. They didn't need high mountains to ski, and the hills around Halas where perfect winter wonderland! But... When the little halflings starting finding out how cold it was, they started spending a large percentage of the day in wolf form.

Well, after a 'few' lazy Druids in Wolf form that didn't follow behind themselfs with a pooper-scooper. (And some like I believe that these messes where really planted by the anti-halfling community). Well, some very strict anti - wolf form laws came out.

Yes, we were now kill on site! No judge, No jury, No check to see if we are picking up after ourselfs or had gone when we ran throught BB (note... going over in the pit in BB is GREAT! It is SO hard to hit the goblins on the 3rd level... But I degress).

This quickly moved to other cities across the world. Of course they didn't mind Shaman pets. And this continued the anti-druid stance. More and more places it was unsafe to be a Druid.

But wait. We where talking halflings. Aren't there other Druids?

Well, yes. Many of these taller versions have been considered acceptable to the rest of the world. Why? Well many think it's because... Well... The females are just so damn hot! Well, not much you can add to that. But why not the halflings (where the Males have been voted as the cutest, pimpin' hot guys for 4 years running?). Well this seems to start from the opression from the female political power in many cities and guilds. Many men in power do not want their chances ruined when they go to a swank'n night club. They notice that all the women are circling around one or two halfling males.... And this isn't really an argument. We understand... And have only found it to be true. All women of all races (watch out for Ogres...) find us down right unresistable... And it MUST be hard for all those other males.

* I use the term 'you' only if you really are upscale and moral

<yes... its just a copy of my other post... but the title on the other got it moved faster then a gnome on SoCheeta! That without the person who moved it reading it (I'm assuming)>

Maybe its the 5% experience bonus you little kneebiters get :p

Not to mention the supreme court just ruled that giving halflings a better opportunity to get into groups and guilds using a point system is unconstitutional - so look out little one :D

This was moved once to Unkempt already, and yeah, I read it. ;) Btw, the reason I moved it was because of this thread (http://pub149.ezboard.com/fthedruidsgrovegeneral.showMessage?topicID=31253.t opic) on the same subject. I probably shouldn't have moved it but just linked instead.
