62 Rogue
61 rogue
58 Magician

avg level = 62.67

level of dungeon recevied = 60 not 65

We did two assassinations in just over 30 minutes each but only got 34 points - BLEH. EXP sucked, named loot was weak, but aug's were dropping like mad. Cash was the same/better than the 65 dungeons and aug's were dropping MUCH more, which I found odd.

I thought if the groups average level was over 62.5 you got the 65 dungeon. Not for us.

Sure we totally wiped out and owned the dungeons, but man it was BORING.

Any thoughts on why we got the low level dungeon?

I can certainly see why people in Elemental/Time gear think the easy missons are boring, from this experience though. We are going to check our group make up a little more next tiem to make sure we don't have this experience again.

You get the lower level dungeon if your average is under 63. It ignores the fraction.

Someone else told me that something changed over the last patch where the lowest member of your party determined the level of your dungeon.

This morning my wife was in a group with
65
65
65
63
61
59
avg = exactly 63

and they got a level 60 dungeon instead of the 65 sungeon.

Not trying to start a rumor. it's just weird.

I heard the same thing about the lowest member of the group affecting it.

But I did an adventure last Monday with 59-62-63-65-65-65 (average 63.1) and we got the level 65 version of the dungeon (and therefore ended up finishing a couple minutes too late).

I'm inclined to believe that the lowest-member rumor is just plain wrong, but it's possible there's something else going on. For instance, maybe the group leader's level is counted twice, or is used as a tiebreaker if the average is exactly 63, or maybe group members who are anonymous and/or not in the same zone don't get averaged in.

I also heard rumors during beta testing that the dungeon was somewhat based upon the first person to zone in. Most likely a rumor, but one easilly tested. I just don't care enough either way to test it.
