Does the real VS still drop the stones for the epic or just VSR?

Can anyone confirm?

Psst, druids can't solo VS yet. I've tried. He is too resistant.

Confirmation. Killed VS just a few days ago. He had pants, a stick and bones. No stones. So it does appear that he does not drop stones as has been said above.

You can also quest a stone off him with a drop of Drusella from HS i believe, supposedly he despawns after giving him the item but you get your stone pretty easy :)

VSR doesn't drop stones. The VSR spawns the fake VS(It's the same mob, just a unbuffed version and the fake VS drops the stones.

Opon kill 2 stones will drop, nothing else. As everyone knows the stone can be MQ'ed too.

Fake VS is also weaker, significantly less lifetap procs.

Also the real VS's lifetap proc is an AOE directly in front of him while fake VS is a single target.. and fake has less hp.. those are the main differences... both are very MR

Hmmm I've killed him before, and the first time we wiped because people didn't stay behind VS... the following happened:

group_member1 staggers.
group_member2 staggers.
group_member3 staggers.
group_member4 staggers.
group_member5 staggers.

Then his health went up like 30% I went to allakhazam to look at his info.. other people posting there talked about it being small range ae too (centered around ma aka front)... so if I'm crazy I'm not the only one.

The reason you saw him lifetap multiple people, is because with several people beating on him from the front, he riposted - and then proc'd on the riposte.

His lifetap is *not* an AE. Of any size.

I just got my stones on Saturday. The VSR spawn of VS Regens less and has a lot less exp. It is also easier to land spells on. The REAL VS doesn't drop Epic stones either.

Makes sense... I stand corrected :p
