Free damage! Kinda weird that they only changed the 1 root spell though. Usually when they make mistakes there is 1,400 other changes.

Also looking at the same update, anyone that understands the stacking data know what they changed about 9s? Temperance no longer overwrites? virtue too?

I would say they were trying to make it zero dmg but not change the mana.....

Sure it will be fixed soon though of course manaless casting always sounds nice to me...

btw, honestly.. who cares.

They make this spell manaless and i will still not use it.

I have like 20 spells in my spell book which could be manaless and i wont use it )

ok think about this a sec

2.5 sec cast can be lowered via spell casting haste, not sure how far but doesnt really matter. Snare 5 mobs get them semi tight then chain root. If this works in fire (which I doubt hard enough to root with savage roots) you could gain about 3/4 an aa per round just by chain rooting. I actually tried this a while ago for fun but ran oom before the mobs died. With root AAs once rooted they seem to stay rooted very well, I got lots of resists but still got all 5 to 50% on a bar of mana with no running and just chain casting. It took me less than 1 minute to burn the mana, 2 minutes mana free casting and 5 mobs dead. That blows away quading.

spellhaste dont work on spell below 2.5 i though. Hm, not sure. Never cared about it.

Anyway. Lets assume 2.0 seconds plus 2.5 seconds recast. Lets assume no resists. Makes 190 dmg every 4.5 seconds.

Thats 190/4.5 = 42 dps at BEST.

A PoFire mob at C2 got around 40K hps.

40.000 / 42 = 952 seconds per mob.

952 second = 16 Minutes.

This exclude resnare, stacking of mobs. And if you get resists - which WILL happen - then you have to pack mobs new together.

So, makes it minimum 20 minutes. And i doubt it will work =). Interesting idea anyway.

btw, dont tell me you got the mobs to 50% in 2 minutes.

I kite in C2 the doomfire soldiers (the ones which give 13% aa per kill) in around 4-5 minutes. And i nuke regulary for around 1700-2000 dmg every cast.

It can't. But I sure hope this bug doesn't go live, because it will mean yet another emergency patch disrupting play time.
