As you can probably see by my other post I'm coming out of retirement. I quit just after Planes of Power came out, if I remember right. I'm looking to see "what's new" so to speak.

I've heard druid charm has been nerfed. What exactly happened?

What is LODN all about? How do things work there, what kind of encounters are they (full group, raid, duo/trio capable?) What levels can you start going there, etc...

Any other big changes I should know about?

Thanks in advance...

All the LDON stuff can be found in the Expansion section of this board. Easy enough to find. Just start wading in.

Charm was nerfed for druids in several ways. The big two are as follows:

First, the amount of XP a charmed pet steals from the owner is higher than before. You can avoid this by simply dropping the charm (e.g., with Innate Camo) before the target dies.

Second, mobs will not pay attention to pets (i.e., pets will not hold aggro) if there are more than 4 (I believe) entities on the mob's aggro list. You can have two people with two pets on a mob, for example, with one pet tanking, but as soon as a third person gets added (such as by healing one of the pets), the pets will be ignored.

charm itself has not changed, but you get less xp for killing with a charmed pet, and the pet will not hold agro if the group is larger than 4 people.

ldon is all 4-6 person content or 36 person raid content. raids are hard. hard adventures are hard. normal adventures are dull. the top level of loot is good.

fippy darkpaw will die if a level 60+ druid looks at him funny. it's one of our new AAs. it used to be wrath of the wild, but people complained about a free 650 jolt of dmg every 3 minutes being completely usless.

normal expansion stuff, people have more hp now, mobs hit harder. half can't be snared.

yada yada... but it's still fun!
