Anyone finding this simpy doesnt show the circles under peoples feet?
Now Ive tried the default UI...doesnt work
Ive turned on opacity.....all the options basically under display I've played with.
Ive make sure Show 3D target Ring is on.
Nothing at all..even relogging doesnt work.
Anyone know how to get it to appear?

Seems like a bug. Only a small percentage of guild and friends are seeing the ring. I also tried everything i could possibly think of, to fix it.
Keeping an eye on the big messageboards atm and hoping someone posts a way to fix it. :)

Doesn't work for me on my trader. :(
Be nice if someone could post a screen shot of it working so people understand what I mean :)

Here is a fix that worked for me, hope this helps..
1. Copy and paste your eqhost file to your desktop
2. Patch the test server
3. Take your eqhost from your desktop, put it back in your EQ folder
4. Load up EQ to a toon with default UI (hopefully when you target something you'll see the ring)
5. Load your UI skin that you usually use on that toon
6. Go back to your character, and hopefully, it works :)
Best of luck!

Thx, that worked. :)
Actually that will only temp fix it.
This is a cut and past from EQinterface...
To fix the no 3D Target Ring in your custom UI. Copy:
TargetIndicator.ini
TargetIndicator.tga
to your custom UI folder. This copy should be done with EQ closed and camped out. A /loadskin will not bring up the ring if the files are copied during a play session. EQ loads these files once, and that is with the load of your first character, thereafter it relies upon what is in memory. I found this out by looking in a new error log file called texture.txt. Make sure you have 'Show 3D Target Ring' turned on in your options too.
That permi fixes it.

Interesting - the original procedure worked fine for my main who runs a custom UI but did not work for my 2-boxed druid who runs the default UI. What worked was NOT copying the eqhost file back over.

Yeah! Fixed it for me too, Tils. Just copy those two files over to your UI directory. The other fix didn't perma-fix.

One thing I noticed is that while playing and levitating the indicator was barely visible to me. I don't know if it was lev doing it, or the fact I have ultravision and the blues just washed out or what.
ooh nice kitty picture thanks! :)

i peeked at the .ini file that controls that and it seems quite customizable.

You mean you haven't gotten your 3D glasses in the mail from SOE yet?~

I think they're planning on beginning to send them to me.

MIne works fine without any modication or copying of files to my custom UI. Guess I'm just lucky.
Time to go mess with some of the settings to see what they do :)

I copied the files over, restarted EQ several times, went back and forth to the patch server... still nothing.
Seems the mobs dont like seeing the ring too!

Well, I don't like the circles. Because whenever I target something on a character where I haven't turned off the circles (or where it's magically turned itself back on), I crash HARD.
At least I get to spam sony with the error messages the game generates when it crashes.

Many of my guildmates are having problems getting the ring to show up at all, including those who are running my current UI and have all their options set exactly as mine are.
Does anyone have a link to sony's official troubleshooting board where I might go see what they've got to say?
