All righty then. I do not have LoY or LDoN. However, I will be getting one of them soon. So, What I was wondering is which one will suit my playing style more based on your opinions? I am more of a grouping druid. I used to be big on soloing, but as I got higher in levels I became more accustomed to being a Grouper. I love dungeon zones, but I don't like dungeons that have tons of mobs grouped together where if I decided I might want to solo or if we don't have an enchanter in the group we'd have like 5 mobs on us. I'd prefer items to leveling and I'd prefer levels to luxuries that don't necessarily effect the game play on a major scale. With that small bit of info in mind, Would LoY or LDoN suit how I play/what I like more?

They are both pretty decent expansions. If you want a group I would recommend LDoN atm. That is where most people are and there always seem to be groups forming at almost every level range.

So are LoY zones almost completely empty of people looking for groups now that LDoN is out?

Almost any zone is empty of people looking for groups now that LDON is out.

Other than the 5 zones with LDON camps in them...:)

I actually thought LoY was a pretty worthless expansion as far as gameplay goes. If you want extra bank space, armor dyes and maps then go spend the $20. If you don't care about those things, then don't buy it.

If you like to group, LDoN is probably for you. You have to group in ldon - soloing isn't an option, literally.

It's really a shame that expansions have become so one dimensional. Remember velious and kunark that had just about anything for every player? Solo, group, raid, etc. I miss those expansions. It felt as if you were actually getting your monies worth.

Well with PoP and Luclin you were still able to solo, group, raid, etc. It just became a bit harder to do so in PoP. From what I've been hearing though, It looks like LDoN is the way to go for me...

In my opinion - LDON.

It is a great expansion for grouping. Bottom Line.

Well LoY had a simple fault.....travelling to it was rediclious only easy way to get there was via porting and well not everyone has that luxury.

Seems soe realised this with LDoN and located the camps closer to books and gave the ability to port between camps.

If only they put some sort of portal to the Lighthouse LoY imho would be used so much more.

For soloing, I just love the LoY zones. This was where my druid was at 60 before she retired and two druid friends have gotten to 65 here as well. My beastlord now makes the run over here regularly. I can probably run through The Warrens blindfolded now hehe.

If you're wanting to group, LDoN has been a lot of fun. You mentioned in your post you don't like dungeons where there are tons of mobs grouped together in case you wanted to solo or didn't have an enchanter. You won't be able to solo in these dungeons as they require at least 4 to enter. And you will on occasion have several mobs on you, but it still can be done without an enchanter.

So if you want to be able to do some grouping and soloing, I'd get both expansions :)

I will eventually get both, but as of now I only can afford one.

I just restarted but have not gotten out of LoY as I have to catch up to the tight level range for LDoN to get back into my group.

While LoY is a blast I find myself just wishing to go to LDoN so bad. Next week I will finally be there.

I think it will be better, but if you need solo exp LDoN is not an option. Also if you are targeting a certain level range LoY might be nice for that.

LoY was a terriable waste of money expansion IMHO. I'd buy LDoN.

Fer groupage - LDoN

Only useful things i got out of LoY were bank space, maps and being able to look segzy in new colours. The only time i've even actually been there, was to do my Pureblood spell quest..
